It's a prank

Aprils' POV

As soon as the door close behind me and i was alone with Lydia, my interrogation towards her started.

"Lydia James Silver you better tell me right now what is going on here." My voice and expression were more serious than ever.
"Babe, I can't tell you right now, but soon enough you will know the truth and every thing will make sense, I promise!" She swears with pleading eyes, knowing i would get annoyed with her answer. I tried to keep serious but not long after, I gave in.
"Ugh I hate how i can't get mad at you" I pouted. It is the most irritating thing ever. The most I have ever stayed mad at her was 1 hour. I have this thing that for some weird reason I can never stay mad at someone for more than 3 days, some times is a good thing, and other times is not that good. With Lydia, it is never even a whole day.
"I know" She smiled and hugged me, then pulled me down to sit next to her "But now tell me, how does it feel to have met the love of your life?" She squealed and I shushed since they were just next door.
" Oh my God! I can't even start to describe how I feel right now! Is like I feel complete somehow. And I also have this weird urge to jump on him..." We then stayed there and talked for about 20 or more minutes, because that was when both my parents arrived.

Now you can't even imagine my confusion and I am starting to feel scared as well (which is not exactly helping my headache by the way). My mom and dad never come together to a simple school meeting. Is not like they don't get along, cause they do, but they just think is unnecessary to both of them have to loose time when the other can just fill them in.

Each one hugged me and Lydia and then the four of us entered again the office.

"Hello mr. Simons, mrs. Oliver." Principal Denkins greeted my parents and nodded for them to sit on were previously were mine and Lydias place "This is alpha Cole, his beta Samuel, together with the beta female Katrina, from the Crescent Moon pack, one of the most powerful pack in the world. As mentioned on the phone, I convoked this immediate meeting because our dear April is alpha Cole's mate." Is a what now?
"Wait, what? What are you talking about? Alpha? Pack? Mate? What is going on?" I asked. Seriously, what is up with them?
"Oh my baby, me and your father..." my mom started to say while grabbing my hands in hers "We have been keeping a secret from you. Before you get mad, just know that we were confused and scared, but we love you and we are so sorry for keeping this from you your hole life!"
"Mom, what are you talking about? What secret?" I started to back away just a little bit, slightly scared
"April, sweetie.... You are... A werewolf" My dad said looking straight into my eyes. Wait, did he just say werewolf? What th-
"Oh i get it now" I said understanding everything now. I smirked at them.
"You do?" Colby said, relief filing his face and voice.
"I'm not that easy to fool. This is all a prank" I don't know how I didn't realize before. I guess the werewolf thing is what really gave away tho. I looked at Colby again only to see those beautiful eyes weren't sparkling anymore.
"No honey, this is not a prank" My mom said. They are trying ro lead me on, not gonna work.
"I already found out mom, there is no need to keep the act on. I have to admit that you almost got me out there, I was even scared for a little bit" I laughed at myself "I was so confused, but now i just have to say thanks" I hugged her and my dad "thank you for planning all of this so that I could meet Sam and Colby."
"April, this all is not a prank, much less planed by us." My dad insisted.
"I think i would know if I was a werewolf don't you think?" I chuckled.
" You are different in deed my love, but none the less a werewolf" My dad said looking into my eyes with a dull expression.
"So am I, Sam and Kat, and all of our other friends" Colby added.
"Werewolves don't exist" I argued. This couldn't possibly true... right?
"We do exist" Sam was the one to say. I was just waiting for them to start to laugh.
"Then prove it." I said. I will not believe until I see it.
"Only if you promise me that you will not run from me, you are my mate therefor I will not allow you to run from me" Colby said coming a little bit closer to me.
"What is a mate?" I asked still looking into his eyes. My mind is boggling.
"I will explain it all to you once we know your own story, but now I am going to shift so you can believe us." He said putting a strand of hair that had fallen in my face behind my ear. He then slowly walked backwards and started to unbutton his shirt.
"W-What are you doing?" I asked even tho my eyes couldn't help but follow his every movement.
"These are the only clothes i have with me at the moment, even if I think you wouldn't mind, I believe the rest of the people in here would not be as exited to stay in the same room as me while I am naked after my clothes shred after the shift" Colby informed me, now only on his underwear, and if I thought my cheeks were red then, now it is definitely looking like a strawberry. But just saying, I don't disagree with what he said, I would totally enjoy the view.

Looking up to his eyes, I realized that they weren't those beautiful blue anymore, but rather a vibrant red took its place. The sound of bones breaking filled my ears, and in a blink of an eye, stood in front of me a huge black wolf.

A thousand thoughts were running through my mind, but all of them stopped when the wolf, well Colby, took a slow small step forward in my direction as to make sure I knew it would do me no harm.

The weirdest thing was, that I wasn't feeling scared, I was more mesmerized by him. All i wanted to do was touch his fur, which looked extremely soft, so that is exactly what I did. When I started to get closer, he tilted his head to the side, a small action but it was so cute that I giggled.

When I was in front of him, I got on my knees, what made him way taller than me since even when I am standing his wolf is on my waist. I looked into those red eyes, and saw so many emotions, but there were two particular emotions that stand out the most. I recognize them as fear and.... love.
