"Lately, everything reminds me of you. On the range today, I saw a bird. It was blue, the exact same color blue as the sweater I got you last year. Remember? I thought it was so cute when I picked it out for you at Forever 21.
I was so pleased with myself. I remember smiling so hard when you opened the box and saw it. You told me you loved it and took it out of the box to try it on...."
"Jungkook, I love it!" I said, after opening his last present for me. I took it out of the box and nearly peed myself when I saw the back. There was a picture of a cartoon block of cheese holding a camera. Over it was the word " cheesin' " in the world's most obnoxious font. "Did you just call me cheese?" I asked through my laughter.
"Crap! I'm sorry, Lana, I–"
I cut him off with a kiss and sighed happily as I pulled away. "I love it, Kookie. It's my favorite gift. Thank you." He smiled and kissed me again.
"...I swear I didn't know that was there. What idiot forgets to look at the whole shirt? I should've looked into it more when I heard people always talking about Forever 21. I'm just glad I made you laugh. I miss your laugh."
He didn't sign or address this letter, and for some reason that bothers me. It seems rushed and... sad, even through the words on the page. He must've been in distress when he wrote this. The page is wrinkled, only in the way that it does when paper gets wet. I can't tell if it's from my tears or his.
