The last letter

"Thanks, guys. Can you leave us alone please?" I say to the guys.

"Of course." Jin says, laying a hand on my shoulder. Jimin gives me a final hug and Tae kisses my cheek.

I kneel down and unfold the letter in my hand, and begin to read it out loud.

"My dear Jungkook,

I have always and will always love you. You brought me hope in all the bad times and made me feel like I could do anything.

There's no one like you, Jeon Jungkook. There never will be. You were one of a kind. I know you told me to move on if this happened, but I don't think either of us realized how hard that would be.

Who else knows exactly what I'm thinking before I say it? Who else has your bunny smile? I'll only ever be your cheese, your 'sexy doctor girlfriend.' My trial worked, by the way. I saved lives. I just couldn't save you. I'm sorry.

If you're watching over me right now, which I'm sure you are, I know you're still trying to keep me safe. Please don't worry too much. I have our friends. I have enough memories of you to pull me through it all. And I will try to move on. For you. I promise.

Love, your Lana"

I told the paper and put in its envelope, stacked on top of all my other letters. I tie them together with the string I brought, and put the Rose I brought on top. I lay the arrangement on the gravestone, and let out a large exhale.

"I love you, Kookie."

And when the sun shines through the clouds, illuminating his name etched in stone, I know everything is going to be ok.
