The Maze

AJ: "Alright another universe where Jaune can go back in time"
Yang: "Another one? Don't you think its time for a different kind of universe?"
Everyone deadpans at her as Nora boos her.
Yang:" come on it wasn't that bad?"
Weiss+Qrow: "Yes it was."

Screens fades in to show Jaune looking at his watch at a cafe waiting for something. Ruby walks in right as the watch beeps.

Yang: "What a coincidence"

Jaune looks up and waves to her and makes small talk.
J: "Hey Rubes! How ya been?"
R: "I'm doing good Jaune! What about you?"
J: "I'm fine, anyway..."

They continue talking about things and what they've been doing since they graduated until Jaune's watch beeps again.

J: "Well then, wanna go for a walk? I've been organizing this since we barely get free time anymore"
R: "Sure where to?"
J: "I was thinking a walk to my cabin in the woods its prett- Hey don't give me that look you'll have WiFi and My videogames there"
R: "OH THANK GOD! I thought you gonna be super~ boring"
J: "Ouch I'm hurt, anway-"

Jaune's watch beeps again

R: "By the way what's with your watch its been beeping?"
J: "Oh nothing just been messing with it"

Roman: "He's lying"
Ruby: "What do you mean by that?"
Roman: "There's obviously more to it Red and it seems to be connected with you"
Ruby: "Oh...Hey! Stop calling me red!"
Roman: "Sure thing Red"
Ruby glares at him

J: "Anyway let's get outta here shall we?"
R: "Let's"

As they walk to Jaune's car, His watch beeps once more. They take off to Jaune's cabin and Jaune keeps taking weird routes.

R: "What's going on Jaune? You said the cabin was a ten minute drive?"
J: "Sorry meant to say twenty"

R+B+Q: "Yep he's definitely hiding something"

As they finally make it outside Jaune's cabin, His watch beeps once more and Ruby has had enough.

R: "Ok Jaune what's going on? Why does your watch keep beeping?"
J: "Like I said I was messing with it and I-"
R: "That's a lie Jaune and you know that! You keep looking at it like your waiting for something! So Jaune what is going on."
J: "*sighs* Fine Rubes You die."
R: "-dumbfounded- ...what?"
J: "You keep dying on this day Ruby! Over and over! Be it by grimm, criminals, sheer bad luck or by saving someone,  it doesn't matter because in the end you die"
R: "...what?"
J: "You! Have! Been! Dying! Ruby! Each time you die I go back to when that day began and try and do something different! It's like a DAMN MAZE!!!"
R: "I dont care! I am a Huntress! I am supposed to save people even if I die you idiot! Give me you keys."
J: "What?! No!"
R: "Give me the keys Jaune I'm leaving!"
J: "You can't leave! You'll die!"
R: "AND I DONT CARE!"

They fight over the keys and Jaune throws her back when she gets on top of him and grabs the keys. Only for her to lose her footing and fall directly on a rock, breaking her neck. Jaune looks at this at checks everything, her heart, her pulse and her breathe. Nothing... Jaune sighs and pulls out his notebook and adds a tally to a page of tally marks.

J: "Try no.192839309 Failure"

Ruby: "Oh Oum!"
WBY+NPR: "WHY DOES HE LOOK CALM?!"
AJ: "This is his 192839309th time he's seen Ruby die I dont think he that hurt anymore"

Jaune taps his watch and reappears at the cafe from the beginning and seems...to bewaiting... Ruby walks right as the watches beeps again.
J: "Hey Rubes! How ya been?"

Yang: "So...that's it? Is there no way to save Ruby?"
AJ: "Nope, Death doesn't like it when people try to stop it. Onto the next Jaune!"
