Adriel's POV

I studied Mika's face carefully throughout the entirety of the video, gauging him for any sort of reaction. His face was pale by the time Bly hit the pause button, beads of sweat beginning to crawl down his forehead.

I could feel his heart pound heavily in his chest as confusion and fear began to creep its way around him.

I took a deep breath as I confirmed my suspicions; this was all just as new to Mika as it was to us, but just to be sure I had to ask.

"Mika?" He just stared at the paused computer screen, mouth slightly opened. I frowned. "Mika?" I tried a little louder and he turned to me, eyes dazed. Those green orbs were trained on mine for a few seconds before they lost their way to the ground.

'Mika, baby." I took a deep breath as I pulled his lifeless arms around me and hugged him tight. "Do you know who that was?"

He seemed to hesitate for a moment before he shook his head lightly in my chest. I had figured as much.

"Do you remember anything like that happening before?"

He stayed still, eyes focused on nothing but the haze around him. "'I-I..."

A deathly silence filled the space of our uncle's office. After what felt like an hour (but more likely 20 seconds), a deep breath was released from the back of the room and my younger siblings and I all turned with skepticism to my Uncle as he lifted himself from the wall and walked his way over to me and my mate.

As an Alpha, I was a big guy, far over the 6 foot mark and my days as a hitter for my school volleyball team ensured the tone in my arms intimidated most men. Despite it all, how did my uncle, not a small guy but not my size, manage to look down on me? It grinded on my nerves as his eyes leveled with mine, not an ounce of empathy to be found, before casting his calculating gaze at my shocked and lifeless mate.

A low growl dripped from my lips, warning my uncle with the most diplomacy I could muster at the moment to back the hell off.

His eyes didn't even glance my way.

What an asshole.

"Come," he said before turning and pushing open the door and making his way out of the office.

My wolf snarled at the lack of respect he had for his Alpha, daring to order me around. I was ready to ignore him all together before Mika pulled himself away from me and followed after the man.

"Woah, where are you going?" I asked, grabbing his hand, forcing him to look at me.

For a moment he seemed confused as to why I'd even ask, his brow furrowed in confusion. He looked down as he seemed to contemplate his actions before turning to me and saying with a somehow confused certainty, "He knows."

"Who? My uncle? He knows what?"

"I don't know," Mika said. "But it said to follow him."

Okay..... What?

"Who Mika?" Bly asked, coming up beside me. "Who told you to follow our Uncle?"

"I dont know!" he nipped back, tugging to get his arm free. "The voice."

Bly and I exchanged a nervous glance before MIka gave a frustrated grunt and ripped his hand away, running out the door to follow my uncle.

... Ouch.

Mika's POV

I know I was making no sense. I knew I sounded absolutely crazy to Adriel and his siblings. The voice? Really? That was all I could come up with?
