"Just act freaking natural" Kie says while leaning back, looking no where near natural. 

Nixi lays  back on the front of the boat as if she was sunbathing. She thought i made sense as she was in her swimsuit. 

"Evening officers" Pope greets the police while they pull up next to the teenagers boat.

The Officer hands Pope a rope and he passes it off to JJ and tells his to tie it off.

"How you kids doing?" The police officer asks, "You know the marsh is closed?"

All the teens shake their heads, "Why, why is it closed?" Pope asks. Nixi tries to look uninterested but she is very worried about john b and cant help but hope these policemen don't stick around.

"Well, we are conducting a search out here" The police officer says looking around the water, "Boat went down, Seen anything?"

Everyone shakes their head again, "No, no boats" JJ says.

"Where's your friends you always hang out with?" The officer asks, "he here?"

"He's working" Nixi says. "Imma check your little boat out" The police officer says while he starts to climb into the smaller boat. 

"Yea, hop aboard" Pope says moving out of his way.

Nixi know that John b must nearly be out of air, shes been counting the seconds in her head while the police have been around, praying that they leave soon or else john b will come up and they all are in trouble or john b stays down and he dies. 

The officer checks that the have the right amount of life jackets and just kinda look around the boat.  It's seems like the Police are about to leave before one walks along to boat to the front and looks down into the water. Right where John b would be. Nixi holds her breath while he looks out into the water. 

After a few seconds he looks away and gets back onto the police boat and leaves. The four teens rush to the front of the boat to look for john b. 

"He's definitely out of air" Pop says right before John b pops up from under the water. 

Nixi sighs in relief before going to letting everyone else sort John b out while she dives in the water to get her t-shit.

When she gets back up she see's a boat coming towards them. "Guys" she says from the water. everyone looks towards the boat, with everyone having a bad feeling about it they start to get ready to leave. JJ pulls Nixi on to the boat before starting to pull up the anchor. 

When the speeding boat doesn't slow down JJ just yells "Don't wait for me, go" and John be starts the boat and starts to speed away. They pull into the marsh and Kie says, "Um, guys they are following us" 

John b curses under his breath before speeding up. Everyone urges John b to go faster while Nixi watches the boat behind them.  Shes watches as one of the two men pull something up to his shoulder. "Shit" she says. "Get down!"  she yells right as the first shot come towards them.

They all duck down with John b trying to push down the throttle. "We are going to die" Pope says as he covers his head with his hands. 

Kie and Nixi looks at the nets near the front of the boat, they look at one another. Both having the same idea. Nixi grabs the net because Kie is being blocked buy Pope. Nixi starts to move towards the back of the boat before JJ stops her. "What are you doing?" he asks with a worried look on his dace. 

"Trust me" she says and he lets go on her arms. She throws the net out behind them and the plan worked because it must have tangled in the other boats motor and stops them. 

One last bullet is shot at them as the turn the corner leaving the other boat behind them. 

"That was brilliant Nix" JJ shouts and he pulls her into a hug. 

"Hey i'm pretty sure both me and Kie had the same idea" She says laughing while they all whoop. 

Nixi couldn't believe that just happened. She was actually shot at, by a freaking gun!

When they all finally get back to John b's they tie off the boat and rush to the dock.  He puts the bag down as Kie asks "what do you think it is?"

"Well its gotta be money right?" Nixi says, "That or a couple keys with street value to the low to mid mills" JJ says looking at her.

"Can we please just open the bag!" Pope says excitedly. 

"wow, Pope" John b says as everyone turns to look at him, "That was a rare out burst of emotion"

"Okay" Pope starts, " You guys are literally killing me with anticipation! Just open the bag" He says bending down to get closer.

"Yea we almost died for this" Nixi says agreeing with Pope.

They all watch as John b rummages through the bag pulling out a smaller one, to then open it and pull out a silver cylinder. He twists it open and tips out what was inside. 

"Oh wow" Pope says with disappointment at the sight of the compass in John b's hand. "Yup, that's about right, good job everybody we found a compass."

JJ takes his hat off his while still watching John b, "Dude what? It's not worth anything."

"This was my fathers" John b whispers. 

"Oh shit" Nixi gasps.

Holy crap thank you guys so much for 1k reads. that's absolutely mental. i have to admit i lost a lot of inspiration with all the shit happening in the world but i'm going to try extra hard to get out more and more chapters for you guys!
