Nixi is laying in her bed, reading a book when she hears a noise downstairs. Freaked out after what she had gone through earlier she walks silently towards her bedroom door and tried to shut it without making a sound. She locks the door right as she hears people walking up the stairs. Nixi decides her best shot was out the window. She makes a bee line and just when she gets it open she hears.

"Nixi? Why is your door locked" Nixi lets out a breathe she didn't know she was holding. 

"Why the fuck would you do that?" She asks when she opens the door to her friends. 

"What do you mean?" John b asks.

"Dude, we where literally hiding in your chicken coup a few hours ago, hiding from a couple of scary ass men who broke into you house" She say while going to sit down on her bed. "I thought they came back" 

"Oh shit" JJ says, "we didn't think about that" 

"Of course not." Nixi says with a roll of her eyes and a sigh. 

Nixi and her friends all go towards her bed to sit down. "So what can I help you guys with?"

"So, while you where gone we found out that the compass has Redfield on the back. so we are going to head out there and see what we find." Kie explains while laying down on Nixi's bed.

"So we almost get killed and now you wanna keep looking into a cursed compass?" She asks while looking around at her friends all scattered around her bedroom. "Really guys, how do we know that those guys wont start looking at Redfield too?" she asks while getting up from her space on the bed.

"We will be fine. they don't even know about it because it was on the compass that they don't have" John B assures her. "You have to come."

"No, I don't have to do anything but eventually die, and I don't want that to be anytime soon."

"What about breathing? or food?" JJ asks.

"Well I don't exactly have to eat, only thing is if I don't I will die. The only thing we can 100% count on in life is that it will end."

"Shit that's dark" Pope says looking up at Nixi. She just shrugs.

"Fine, I'll come." She says with a sigh.

Nixi and the others where all in John B's van heading towards Redfield. Nixi was sat in the backseat with JJ while John B starts to talk about the compass again. 

"I mean, its obvious, right?" he says while driving down the road and pope stares at the compass. "A family heirloom. What better place to hide a message? He had to know it was going to come back to me, right?" John B says while looking around the van at all his friends. waiting for someone to agree. 

Nixi and JJ just look at each other before Kie speaks up, "Yea its possible." 

"It could also be possible that your concocting wild theories to help,  you know. Deal with your sad feelings." 

"Pope" Nixi and JJ says simultaneously. "Bro, you know how i deal with my sad feels?" JJ starts, "Dank nugs and the stickest of ickies, that's how I do it." 

Nixi starts to laugh at him and hits him on the shoulder. "I'm not concocting, okay" John B continues, "My dad's trying to give me a message."

"If it helps you believe, John B" Kie says in an attempt to consul him.

"Look I don't need a therapy session, okay?" John be defends, "Look, I'm not tripping out."

"Its okay to trip bro" JJ buts in. "But.."

"Look, my dad is missing, okay" John be says before JJ can finish. 

"Missing" He continues. Nixi gets a feeling he is more so trying to convince himself more and not the other teenagers in the van. "You don't know what its like to have the closet person to you vanish, And then have no idea what happened."

Kie looks back at Nixi with a worried look on her face. "Hey, John b. We get, and we will always be there for you" Nixi says in an attempt to consul him.

"You just wake up every morning wondering" John b says. Ignoring Nixi's attempt. 

"It's been almost a year" Kie say, looking at John b with a frown. John b meets her eyes a sighs before turning back to the road.

"Hey, he could have been kidnapped" JJ says. Nixi just rolls her eyes. "Defiantly could be a possibility"

"Yea could be in a soviet sub" Pope says, going along with JJ.

"and getting integrated by the KGB somewhere" Nixi says.

"Absolutely." JJ says. "Or Atlantis" he finishes. Nixi nods along with him.

"JJ" Kie says, trying to shut him up, "Look, what do you think the message is?" She asks John b.

"Redfield" He states.  "Redfield lighthouse. it was my dads favorite place."

Nixi looks out the window to see them speed past the sign to Redfield lighthouse. She takes a deep breath. Worried about what would happen if this doesn't go the way John b hopes.

The five teenagers all get out of the van and stand in front of the light house, craning their necks to look to the top.

"Right, so here's what's going to happen" John b starts to explain the plan to the other Pouges. "Your going to post uop here and look out for bogeys.  okay?" He says to JJ

"Wait,  why me?" He asks, looking around at his friends.

"Because your not coming" Pope and Nixi say simultaneously. 

"Why?" JJ asks. Looking around and his friends with confusion.

"Look there are independent variables and depended variable, your are indenpendent variable." Pope starts to explains while Nixi walks over to Kie to stand with her away from all the testosterone. 

While the three boys all yell at each other, Kie and Nixi look at on another and simultaneously roll their eyes. 

John b finally takes ahold of the situation and explains the plan to the other four teens. 

Nixi nods along not having a issue with staying by the car while JJ still looks like he wants to argue. Nixi just throws her haky sack to him to keep him occupied while Pope says some thing about a essay and Nixi just sits in the back of the van with her book.

Kie and John b are gone for about an hour when the others notice the cops pull up. They all rush into the van and flee the scene.

"Do you think John b and Kie got out in time?" Nixi asks the boys in the front seat.

"I don't know, must've been close though" Pope guesses looking out at the road heading towards JJ's house.

"I'm sure they'll be fine" JJ says while drumming his hands against the steering wheel. "I mean they always are"

Nixi just nods leaning back into her seat and trying to ignore the pit in her stomach. 

 A/N I'm sorry I haven't updated in ages!! I've just moved and things have been extremely hectic. I've also started a new book! this one isn't a fan fic but i hope you guys give it a read anyway! Thanks for all the support!
