An hour later Nixi and the boys are in the van heading to Lana Grubb's house. Nixi sits in the back seat reading a book and eavesdropping on the boys.

"I'm just saying" JJ starts to say, "I don't understand why you don't understand why you don't at least try with Kiara she clearly likes you. She's like 'Oh, John B.'"

"Is that what she does?" John B says trying to cut in.

"She's sketching about you diving. Then she kissed you bro" JJ continues. Nixi just rolls her eyes at the two of them and opens one of the windows. The stench of utter bullshit becoming too much. 

"She kissed me on the cheek" John b says, " It's not like we were making out."

"Low hanging fruit bro" JJ says, putting his feet up on the dash board. 

"JJ" Nixi says. JJ turns around to look at her, "Don't talk about women like that" she says with a frown. JJ just shrugs and looks back to John b while Nixi shakes her head. 

"Don't pretend that you don't notice, i see it in your eyes" JJ continues, " Your like 'i kinda like that' and then you start blushing and shit"

"I blush?" john b say, getting slightly annoyed. "Really."

"You do kinda blush John b" Nixi says, sticking her head between the two front seats. JJ pushes her by her forehead back into the back seat.

"This is guy talk" He says while Nixi mocks him. 

JJ reaches forward to grab the compass but john b tries to snatch it out of his hand. Nixi decides its better for her to just zone out, so that's what she does fro the rest of the drive. It wasn't until she notices the sign showing that they had arrived at Lana's house. 

The trio get out of the van and start to walk towards the house. "You know what this looks like?" John B asks. 

"Who ever lives here smokes too much weed" Nixi and JJ say simultaneously. They both laugh at high five. As they get closer to the house they hear glass shattering and someone yelling. "Maybe we should come back" JJ suggests.

"No, no" John b says shushing him, " Shut up, shut up JJ."

Nixi starts to walk closer to the house but JJ grabs her arm and pushes her behind him. She frowns and looks at him, the faint threatening shouts coming from the house. JJ just shakes his head. Suddenly they here Lana cry out in pain and they all flinch. Nixi goes to run towards to house to help but JJ hold her back.

"Shut up, come on" John b says while crouching down and walking towards the wall. The three teenagers lean flat against the wall and listen to whats happening inside.

"You still think we should stay?" Nixi asks john b as the fighting inside the house continues. The man inside the house yell about the compass and Nixi looks at John b and shakes her head, she also notices JJ looking super uncomfortable and flinching. She doesn't think and just reaches out to touch his hand. Straight away he intertwines his hand with hers.

With another loud crash paints flakes start to rain down on them. Nixi couldn't believe what they had gotten themselves into.

The men start to leave the house as John b and JJ creep around the edge to watch them while Nixi stays behind them.

"Dude, those where the guys that shot at us" JJ says to john b. Nixi couldn't believe it so she pushes JJ behind her to look. 

She lets out a soft gasp and lifts her hand up to her gaping mouth. She couldn't believe that this was all connected. The men start the boat and John B pushes Nixi and JJ back so they wont be seen.
