S I X

Nixi and JJ split up with the rest of the Pouges to go back to her house for dinner. 

"You sure i can stay tonight?" JJ asks as he walks up the porch steps towards Nixi's front door. 

"Of course" she says while unlocking it. "Your basically family."

The two of them walk inside and Nixi throws her keys on the table next to the door. they both head straight to the kitchen. JJ opens the fridges and get stuff out to make a sandwich. 

"Your worried about staying the night but not about raiding my fridge" Nixi says with a laugh while she sits down at the dinning room table. 

"Hey, a boys gotta eat" JJ says while putting some ham on the bread. "Want one?" He asks looking towards her. she nods and he starts to make a second sandwich. 

"Are we going to talk about today?" She asks looking out the window towards John b's house. 

"Yea, its pretty crazy, i didn't think we would ever find his dad to be honest" JJ says sadly while looking down.

"i mean he has been missing for like 9 months, that would be pretty hard to come back from." Nixi says as JJ hands her a plate. She thanks him and digs in. If there is one thing jj could cook, it was a amazing ham sandwich. 

"What time will Pops be home?" JJ ask while shoving his sandwich in his mouth.

"I dunno" Nixi starts taking a bite of her food. "Around 5." Nixi looks over to JJ and he seems deep in thought. "You OK?" She ask's him.

JJ looks up at her and furrows his brows. "None of this makes any sense, first the wreck and then Big Johns compass, how does that add up?" he asks.

"I don't know JJ, i have no idea what any of this means" She replies putting their plates in the sink. "What i do know is that we need to make sure we are there for John b, this cant be easy for him"

"Yea your right" JJ starts, "Big Johns like a father to me and just when i get used to him being gone, his compass shows up and gives us hope? that is just fucked up" He says while looking at his shoes.

Nixi doesn't hesitate and go right to him and pull him into her arms. JJ pauses before wrapping his arms around her. "Its going to be OK JJ, I promise."

JJ pulls back and looks down at his best friend. she looks back up at him and smiles. JJ has liked Nixi for a while now, ever since he noticed how cool she actually is. I mean he has always thought she was cool but know he see's her in a different light. Ever since John b's dad went missing she has really stepped up. She has been everyone's rock, especially JJ's. Probably because she knows what they are feeling having lost her parents out at sea years ago as well.

JJ's eyes lower to her lips and back up to her eyes. Nixi notices and starts to lean in. She can feel his breath as their lips are almost touching. 

"JJ" she whispers before he crashes his lips against hers. her arms go around his neck and he pulls her in as close as possible, their lips moving together in sync. JJ pushes Nixi back until shes against the kitchen counter. Her hands are in his hair and his hands are moving up and down her body. 

Nixi is confused. of course she is enjoying this but she never knew JJ thought of her in this way. They are still kissing when they hear the door open. they quickly jump apart and Nixi pulls her shirt down as it had rid up. 

"Hey guys, Pope and i where going to ask if its OK if we crash here?" Kie asks as she walks in the room. Pope looks between the two and tries to hide a smile.

"Uhh" Nixi says running her fingers through her hair. "Yea sure, um of course, I'm going to go have a shower real quick" she says obviously flustered while Kie frowns.

"You OK?" she asks.

"Yea its just been a long down." Nixi says. "So you guys know where everything is, make yourself's at home" Nixi then walks up stairs to her bathroom when she realizes that they wont have any water because of the hurricane. so instead she just gets into her pajamas and gets into her bed. 20 minutes later Kie joins her and the boys get comfortable on the floor. They all fall asleep within minutes.

The next morning Nixi is woken up by JJ shaking her. "What" shes says while rubbing her eyes.

"Pope and Kie just left and you and i are going to check up on John b" he says while standing back up. "He was meant to go drop of the scuba gear this morning and he should be back by now.

"Fine" Nixi says while sitting up, "Give me ten minutes and i'll meet you down stairs"

JJ smiles at her before leaving the room to wait in the living room downstairs. Nixi gets up to look out her window. Seeing her that her grandfathers truck is gone and guessing he went to work. She goes over to her dresser and pulls out a pair of jean cut offs and a tank top with her bikini underneath. Grabbing her bag she starts to walk downstairs to put her shoes on. Nixi and John b brought matching white converses a couple months ago and they were no longer white but they didn't care. 

"I'm ready" She yells to JJ and rolls her eyes when she sees he come out of her kitchen eating an apple.

"Catch" he says throwing her one. Nixi catches it and takes a bite before locking her front door and the two of them start the quick walk over to John b's house.

Walking up the front steps the both notices a piece of paper taped to the front door.

"Watch this" JJ says with a devious smile. JJ starts pounding on the door shouting that he is "DCS" Nixi rolls her eyes while watching JJ jump in front of a window and seeing John b on the other side looking terrifies.

"You are evil" she says with a smile before she enters the house. 

"What?" JJ says while following her inside.

I'm sorry its taken so long to update. I left my laptop charger at my friends house and i haven't been able to get it back but i have it now so expect more updates!! let me know what you thought of this chapter!!
