"Eenie meanie minny Abby," Mrs. Sterling said pointing to random places around the room before pointing to Abby.

"Why don't you show the class why you're here."

"Is that a demand or a suggestion?" Abby asked quietly. I did not like Abby very much because she rarely spoke and when she did say something, it came off as rude. She never smiled and spent her day giving out unnecessary dirty looks. However, I said nothing and let it be. Letting things be seemed to be the best way to handle life.

"Well, I tried to make it seem as though it was a suggestion because well, I don't want you to hate me. However, you joined choir to sing so I expect you to do so."

"You didn't really answer my question," she said, with a blank stare.

"It was a demand," Mrs. Sterling said, her voice flattening. Abby turned to stone. After what felt like hours of waiting for her to get on stage, she stood up and walked to the mic. Her eyes stared directly at the ground, creating a tense situation. It seemed as if the entire class held their breath in anticipation of what they were about to hear. A breath to deep may mask the sound of her singing, considering how softly she spoke. We waited just as anxiously as she had. She began, starting off quiet as expected. However, within 30 seconds of her song, she raised her head as well as the volume of her voice. Eyes opened wide all around the room as the sound of her voice barricaded our ears. I had to tighten my jaw so that the lower part of my mouth did not hit the ground. Chills ran up and down my spine, causing me to shake. After her song ended, I attempted to piece together why she was so shy. She was loud for less than a minute and it managed to drop jaws and open eyes in awe. Why hide something so amazing? I could not understand.

Sixth hour ended and I meandered to my locker, stopping to greet friends. Daniel stood leaning against my locker, hands shoved in his pockets, in a daze as he stared ahead. I slowly walked up to him, giving him an odd look. He kept in his daze as I touched my locker. I looked around to see if he was waiting for someone.

"Oh hey," he said, letting out a tired chuckle. I looked up at him, confused as to why he was talking to me.

"Sorry I was...I don't even know. I'm tired," he laughed sleepily once more, scratching his neck and tilting his head forward. I gave him a crooked smile, continuing to look around.

"I feel ya, it's cool. Can I help you with something?" I asked, my interest in the conversation beginning to grow.

"What're you doing tonight?" I stopped turning my hand to unlock my locker, but kept my eyes on the lock. After about three seconds I managed to look up at him.

"I mean Wednesday nights are when all the sick parties happen, so I'll probably  be out all night," I said sarcastically. I laughed and gave him a grin, looking back down at my locker and opening it.

"Haha, yeah. Like you go to parties," he laughed.

"Okay that wasn't my reason for the sarcasm!," I squeaked.

"But no, for real," he stopped laughing, leaving only his smile. I looked up at him as I put my Math book in my bag. Daniel was fit as well as very tall in comparison to my height of five feet 1 inch. I looked him up and down.

"I'm not doing anything," I smiled slightly. My hands began to tingle with excitement and my heart began pounding.

"Do you want to?" I looked around at the increasingly emptying hallway. I paused for a long while before responding to the person I had only started talking to a week before.

"Sure, why not," I smiled. My stomach flipped.

"Let me take you somewhere."

"Right now?"
