A different Naruto than the one you know

Chapter 3

Third pov:

      A few decades had passed from the fall of Uzushiogakure, Minato had become the fourth hokage and had gotten married with Kushina. Who had become the jinchuuriki of the nine tailed fox. They were now in a secret cave as Kushina was in labor with their first child. Finally Kushina gave one last push and the cries of a baby were heard. The midwife told the tired and happy couple that it was a boy and they gave him the name Naruto.

      Suddenly a loud bang was heard and Minato placed his son with his wife and went to see what had happened. When he saw the anbu he had posted to keep them safe were all dead.

      Racing back inside to his family he saw that all the midwives were killed and a mask man holding his child. The man threatened him that if he restored the seal of the nine tails his child would die. Minato, thinking quickly, was able to save his son and had to teleport them away from the explosive tags placed on his son. He teleported to a safe place and laid the newborn down before going back out to get his wife.

      The masked man now had Kushina and was extracting the nine tails from her seal before that he used his sharingan to place the nine tails under his command when Minato appeared. Quickly grabbing Kushina, who was now no longer a jinchuuriki, and teleported back to their son. Meanwhile the man led the nine tails to Konoha.

      Minato went back out to try and stop the nine tails attack on their village as he knew the third hokage would also be trying to stop it. Kushina took that time to just hold her son before she broke the seal on her ane's cave. Almost immediately Mayumi was beside Kushina worry, fear and sadness in her eyes. Kushina looked up at her ane and smiled.

"This is my son ane. Isn't he beautiful?" Kushina was crying as she spoke. Mayumi nodded, also crying with her imouto.

      "I'm making you his mother and guardian. His name is Naruto. Please ane, please tell me you'll be his mother for me?" Kushina pleaded to her ane. Mayumi nodded tears running down her face.

      Kushina's face became stern as she looked at her ane once more. "Can you distract the nine tails long enough for Minato and I to seal him in Naruto?" It hurt Kushina to say it, she didn't want her son to be a jinchuuriki but the nine tails could not go back into her and she knew she would not survive after tonight without the beast. Mayumi nodded and quickly teleported to the village and transformed into her tailed beast appearance.

      Many villagers screamed fearing that the new beast would also start attacking them but they soon began running for their lives again as the new beast attacked the nine tails. Mayumi noticed that Minato was fighting some strange masked person but she focused her attention back to her brother to stop him from doing anything else.

      As Minato and the masked man fought he demanded to know if he was Madara Uchiha which the masked man didn't deny or claim. Finally Minato was able to break his control on the nine tails and also injure the man. The masked man fled and vowed to be back.

      My brother came to his senses and recognised me but I saw the fear in his eyes as he turned to get away. I myself teleported back to Kushina and Naruto in my human form once again. Racing forward and holding them to me. I could hear the villagers pursuing my brother and it broke my heart but I made a promise to protect these two and I would keep it. Suddenly my brother was here as well as a very large toad and Minato who came over to us. He slowed down when he saw me but greeted me with a strained smile. Kushina used her family gift to restrain the nine tails.

      Soon Minato and Kushina were finishing the seal when the nine tails used the last of his strength to try to kill Naruto but his claw pierced Minato and Kushina instead. Finally with their last breaths they finished the seal and passed away. I bent and picked up my son and turned to the people outside of the barrier that Minato put up. A short man approached me and demanded I give him my son. I told him I wouldn't hand over my son no matter what. At this he stopped and asked my name.

      Confused, I answered, "My name is Mayumi Uzumaki and this is Naruto Uzumaki, my son." He was startled and told me that he was the hokage of the village and knew that the boy was Kushina's but he remembers her telling him about me that I was her onee-san and agreed that I would be his guardian and mother if anything were to happen to her.

      Once all the confusion was dealt with and we buried my imouto and giri no otouto we went back to the badly destroyed village and to the hokages' office. Once we entered I had him send all of his nin out of the office and placed top tier level silencing and protection seals around his office. When he noticed just how high level the seals were he gave me a questioning look.

      So once again I found myself retelling the story of who and what I am. The third hokage was extremely shocked, surprised and scared but he still listened to what I had to say. At the end of my story he was upset on my behalf because of what the whirlpool village did to Kushina and I. So in return I pledged my allegiance to him, the third hokage, and my son and only those two. Which I was sure to make extra clear and he understood.

      He gifted my son and I a small apartment as well as access to the fourth hokage's home. The fourth's home felt too large and empty for only two of us to live there so I placed a seal inside the apartment to still be able to go there. I also placed some seals around and inside the fourth's home and property to keep things clean and not dusty or overgrown.

I placed those seals in the apartment as well because I knew with a newborn I wouldn't be getting much cleaning done.

      As it approached my son's first birthday I knew I was going to have to talk to the hokage soon. The glares my son and I were getting from the villagers was starting to slowly have an affect on his happy personality. Even if I went to the grocery stall alone I would get glares and people would call me awful names.

      Someone had spread rumors about my son and I and now everyone sees us as demons. I've even been assaulted, stabbed, beaten and violated multiple times on my way home from missions. It was always the villagers who would do this not the nin. I had made friends with some anbu, Anko, Ikibi, the Uchihas', the Naras', the branch family of the Hyuga (Which I could take their cursed seal marks off and make it look like it was still operational to the elders.), Kakashi and Iruka. The hokage knew of my skill set and made me captain of my own anbu black ops team. Which Kakashi and Iruka were a part of. So with a heavy heart I picked up my now one year old son and shunshined to the hokage's office. Appearing just outside the Hokage's office I knocked and waited for the quiet "come in".

      As we entered the office Naruto was looking around with extremely intelligent eyes and curiosity. The old man sighed knowing what I was going to ask. He found all the paperwork which I signed, it stated I was going on a long undercover mission and would be back one year before Naruto would have to start the academy. Which allowed Naru and I to continue being konoha nin, but also let us travel around freely like I would need to as well as keep my captain status.

      With everything taken care of I shunshined us to our small apartment and began sealing our essentials into scrolls to let us travel lighter. I looked at the apartment one last time with a nod and bent down and scooped up naru into my arms and walked to the gates of the village. As we approached the gates I could see my team waiting at the gates stopping in front of them I smiled and bowed slightly to them. The more reserved of the group bowed back and said "Be safe Touchan". The more sentimental ones instantly leapt forward and gave us hugs goodbye.

      Naru and I smiled and waved at the few people we called family before we vanished from sight.
