A different Naruto than the one you know

Chapter 10

Naruto's pov:

   As we were waiting for our sensei I watched Sasu fidget, glance at Sakura and fidget some more. Then he abruptly stood, picked me up placed me in his original seat before sitting in my seat and glare at Sakura from the corner of his eye. After five minutes of him glaring I'd figured she'd had enough and nudged him to make him stop which he did begrudgingly. The first team to leave was Team 10, Shikamaru's team. Asuma-sensei looked like a good sensei and could get the lazy Nara to probably do something other than nap.

    After another twenty minutes team 8, Hina's team was following their new sensei out the door. Kurenai-sensei looked at Hina with surprise at her new look and height. Seems that they were expecting her to be her pretend shy self. Man were they in for a surprise.

   Then it was just Sasu, Sakura and I. I pulled out some paper and an ink pen and started trying to figure out a seal I'd read about in the scroll Haha had given me. Sasu look devastatingly board just waiting for always late sensei. At that moment Sakura stood up so I looked over to her and I was shocked to see her bowing to both Sasuke and I.

"I'm sorry for my rude behavior over the years and I wanted to apologize for the hurtful words I said to you." She took a breath and stood up straight. "You were right I was acting like a princess when I should be acting like the ninja I am. I was trying to appease my parents and lost myself while doing so. Can you please forgive me?" She was looking at us sincerity in her voice and eyes. She was actually sad and regretful for what she did.

    I looked thoughtfully for a moment before turning to her with a big megawatt smile. "I accept your apology." I told her sincerely. Right as those words left my mouth Sasu's head whipped around to look at me. It happened so fast I was afraid for a second that his head was just going to fly off with out him! He looked me deep in my eyes before turning away and grumbling with a cute pout then looking at Sakura and- "Hn." was the only thing she was going to get out of him right now.

Sakura looked relieved and sat back down again but at least it wasn't awkward this time.

~~~~ Time skip no jutsu~~~~

   Three hours. We've waited for our sensei for three hours... Sakura was asking us questions every now and then about what happened to us or how she could get stronger so she wouldn't just be dead weight. Sasu was actually calm and answered her questions honestly while I worked on the last line of the seal. The seal itself was a really pretty and intricate design, it was created centuries ago and was originally intended to be placed on non-shinobi, such as women and children that weren't trained in the ninja arts. It was designed to capture weapons or jutsu, no matter how powerful. It could either be stored until needed or the wearer could throw the jutsu/weapon back at the one who cast it and protect themselves.

So I decided that Sakura would need it until she got stronger so I got up and knelt next to her. While doing so she lifted an eyebrow as if to ask what I was doing.

"Sakura. This is a special seal that will help you until you get stronger. It takes powerful jutsu's and weapons thrown at you and can send it back to the bad guys or you can keep it for a more dangerous situation to protect yourself with." At the end of my explanation she nodded and let me have her right arm. I thought of the best area for it to be and because the academy taijutsu had the genin cross their arms in front of themselves in a defensive manner I placed the seal so it would instinctively be able to absorb the jutsu's and weapons.

     Sakura admired the seal for a moment before smiling gratefully at me. I smiled back and at that moment our sensei walked into the room. His silver gravity defying hair sticking up all over the place. Sasu and I knew exactly who he was and internally groaned. Not that we didn't already know by his name, but we didn't think he would act so lazily. When he is apart of Haha's squad he never acts lazy. Ever. He took one glance at us, not even a look.

"My fist impression of you is, you're all idiots. Meet me on the roof in five minutes." Because half of his face was covered with a mask and his left eye was covered with his hitai-ate. He gave us a weird one eye smile if it could really be considered that. Then shunshined away. Sasu and I gave each other a look. Sasu just rolled his eyes while I smirked we each took one of Sakura's arms before we shunshined to the roof ourselves.

    When we got to the roof we let Sakura go then sat on the stairs with her following to sit in the middle. Sasu and I didn't mind her taking the middle we were going to be team mates after all so there should be no issues between us. Which means Haha is going to want to train her with us after we train with Kakashi-sensei so that she can get used to being in a team. Something Kakashi-sensei might not get around to until we're in a fight. While we had been sitting I noticed the book Kakashi-sensei was reading. A small orange book with some writing on the front.

    Suddenly I remembered Haha telling me about a little orange book my godfather wrote. I haven't met him yet, but he also hasn't tried to meet me either. Haha had told both Sasu and I once we hit twelve that, that book was straight up porn. We were not allowed to have that book and if we were caught with that book she'd kill us.

Now Haha probably wouldn't kill us. But she'd definitely get us real close to it. I took a quick look at Sasu and noticed he had been thinking the same as me. We were going to stay as far away from that book as possible.
