PLEASE NOTE: I am currently on a pretty hectic work schedule (12 hour days every day) so sometimes these chapters are written and uploaded when I am not fully awake. Because of this there may be full errors. I have every intention to go back on every chapter and add more detail and tidy things up! Thank you!

I couldn’t make sense of what was happening. It was like disjointed images and videos were flashing through my mind. I could see the little ginger wolf, staring me down, growling, the image flickered and interchanged with Ren. Ren was now the one staring me down, his eyes narrowed. His face covered in the splatter of blood. He held a dagger tightly in his hand, it was soaked in the same blood that appeared to be painting his face.

I looked down at my stomach and soon realized it was my blood. There was a gaping hole in my chest. I gasped, trying to cling onto any breath I could muster but my mouth filled with blood.

“Ren.” I whispered, the sound muffled by the blood.

The image quivered like a stone had been skimmed across it. Ren’s face morphed back into that of the little ginger wolf, still growling, snapping and barking at me.

“It’s okay. I’m not here to hurt you.” I tried telling the wolf, but it seemed it was no longer interested in listening to my voice. I didn’t have time to brace myself before the wolf was on top of me, snapping and biting every inch of my body as I screamed.

My scream shook at the edges of the vision, and instead I was greeted with an image – no – a memory of me. I could see myself wearing the silly tartan skirt that Vi had forced me into. She was there too, standing next to me.

“Alex!”

“Oh hey! You’re here!”

It was weird seeing a moment I’d already seen before, only now as an outsider. I realized, while watching this memory I was next to Ren. I could see again as he looked up and down at my outfit, choosing not to say anything. Only this time I saw as I turned away Ren let a smile escape his lips as he continued to watch over me.

It flickered over to us dancing in front of the band. Ren watched me and Chris danced together, Ren looked thoroughly annoyed.

I saw Ren dance a little in my absence. Nothing big, but he nodded his head along with Chris, and stamped his foot along with the beat.

After a moment had passed I could somehow hear myself in the distance, shouting at the men that had grabbed me. Apparently Ren could too, his head urgently darting in my direction, narrowing his eyes as he attempted to focus more on the noises.

“I’m going to look for Evie. I heard something.” Ren told Chris. Chris stopped dancing straight away and looked Ren carefully in the eyes.

“Don’t do anything stupid.” Chris said apprehensively. “There’s a reason we’re stuck like this.”

Ren shot him an irritated look.

“I won’t.”

A new scene was on, in the foyer where I was, I watched as Ren saw the whole thing. He stepped in the door just as I dug my nails into the two men, sending them flying backwards.

GET OUT OF MY HEAD!

I shuddered, feeling Ren’s voice resounding in the back of my mind, begging to be heard, to be focused on. I pushed it back, focusing on the visions.

A final scene came into view. It was in the parking lot where I last remembered being, Ren had his hands on either side of my face, against the car. His face was only inches away from my own. I got dizzy as two conflicting images kept taking center stage. In one of them Ren was snaking his hand around my body, pressing something sharp against the small of my back. In the other Ren’s hand moved across my shoulder, up my neck, until it rested against my cheek.  Then he leaned in slowly, his eyes fixed on my lips. It flickered again and the knife that had been pressed against my back was thrust into me, and was greeted with the familiar bloody mess from one of the past visions.
