Fall

If you're gonna break me,
Break me gently.

Don't let go of me instantly,
Because I am a glass
If you drop me,
I'll break into tiny pieces
You cannot bring back again.

So if you must,
Let go of me slowly,
Untangle our fingers gently.

Embrace me softly,
Kiss me tenderly,
For one last time.

Empty my glass,
Don't burden yourself
with words of comfort,
It wouldn't change anything,
And the glass would remain unfull.

Lay me down softly
I do not need to fall again,
And break again,
And mend again,
And hope again,
And break again.

I, at least deserve this from you—
So, if I may ask again,
Break me
gently.
