(I just had a Star Wars marathon, I watched the prequels, rouge one and solo so how could I not do this story)

While Mara was waiting to see if the Jedi would accept her terms on y/n they had stopped in a less populated section of corasunt

They were all jest hanging around together, Ace and y/n were playing as pretend clone troopers,  y/n was marching around and trying to mimic the accent they all shared

Ace smiles and removed his helmet and put it on y/ns head, it didn't quite fit right because of the tendrils on y/ns head but she loved it and ran around pretending to shoot droids

Mara used her helmet to record the little scene smiling, this was perfect, or it would be perfect if they had a real home, a place y/n could grow up, where Mara could raise her, she would teach her the mandalorian ways, forge her a helmet.......

She stopped herself, that would probably never happen, if the Jedi chased them they could never stay in one place, never have a home, and if y/n became a Jedi then Mara would probably not get the chance to teach y/n the way

She was roused from these thoughts when a hologram came in, she answered it alway from the others inside the ship

"Hello, I am Jedi master mace windu.....I wish for you to join us at the temple so we may discuss y/ns place in the order"

She knew it wasn't going to be easy.....was this the best life y/n could have? No it wasn't, but it was the best life they could get

"Fine.........I will come alone, y/n will be safely away from you"

She hung up then went to ace and sarrak

"I'm going to be gone for a while, watch y/n and stay out of trouble "

She flew to the temple and landed in the space provided, it was odd to be going in the right way this time

She then followed a droid to a room, she say a group of people in chairs forming a circle

One of the humans stood
"Hello there "
He gave a small bow
"My name is obi-Wan Kenobi"

She didn't shake his outstretched hand but looked at the others

"You called me here to discuss y/n, so skip the pleasantries and introductions"

A small green creature nods
"Very well bounty hunter, y/n strong in the force she is, power, learn to control it she must"

A green tentacle head spoke
"To ensure she doesn't harm either herself or someone else, and to ensure that she isn't taken by the dark side"

Mara nods
"That is not what I care about, I care about weather I get to remain in y/ns life while she learns these things"

The Jedi who had contacted her named mace sighs
"That would be against the Jedi way, the presence of family and the burden of attachment "

Mara shook her head
"Then it sounds like we have nothing to discuss, I will not let y/n become son emotionless droid, she needs me"

"Are you so sure it is her who needs you?"
Asked a younger man with longer hair

"Are you sure your old enough to be at the adult conversation? What would you know about this? I care for her like none other do, I protect her and keep her safe.....and I always will"

She turned back to the rest of the council
"I will allow y/n to be trained on one condition, I will be present and retain custody over her"

Mace sings again
"Please don't make this harder then it has to be"

Mara shook her head
"It's my way or we're gone....we'll take our chances in the outer rim "

A female kel dor stepped forward
"I'm y/ns master sha koon, and I agree to your terms"

The rest of the council looked at her disapprovingly

"Sha, you don't get to make that decision"

"Y/n is my padawan, placed under my jurisdiction by the council.....I can deal with this"

The young man who had spoken up earlier smiles, seemingly enjoining this girl going against the council

Obi-wan stood
"I believe we should let her try, if she cannot then we will deal with it"

He walked over to mara and put a hand on her shoulder but the strangest thing happened, he jerked his hand back as hid he had been stung

The odd look he gave her made her even more confused before he suddenly acted like nothing happened

"Yes.....well, miss mara I believe y/n and yourself would be more comfortable living on the temple "

Mace stood obviously angry
"The council is not...."

He was cut of by a male kel dor
"I second on agreeing with master kenobi, we let her stay"

The small green creature sighs
"Unorthodox and against tradition this is, but in war, to teach future Jedi we must.......third I do"
He said it very reluctantly

Mara turned to this sha girl

"You have my thanks for persuading them, but y/n is very special to me, if you hurt her I will kill you within seconds"

Sha gulps but nods

Mara looks at the other members who gave her odd looks and not happy expressions, she didn't care however about what they thought, she had won

She left and returned to where y/n and the boys were the find sarrak with y/n on his shoulders and ace who was doing target practice

"Everyone pack up, we made a deal with the Jedi "

Ace looked up
"Your not giving y/n up are you?"

"No, y/n will live and train at the temple, and they are allowing us to remain in y/ns life"

They all smile and Mara takes y/n into her arms
"We as all gonna live at the Jedi temple, and I will be with you while you train"

Obi-wan kenobi

After  the bounty hunter left obi-wan spoke with sha
"This is dangerous what we are letting happen, I hope you know what you are doing "

"I do kenobi"

Obi-wan looked around then whispered
"Did you sense anything that was off about all of that? Something that seemed hidden just below the skin?"

Sha shook her head
"No"

"Must have been my imagination he lied before walking away
