Mara and her team landed the lucky in the bigger republic ship and got off looking around, clones we're working and one of them ran up to her saluting

"Commander Mara, my name is captain sledge, one of the Jedi needs to speak with you up in the control room"

Mara nodded and grabbed y/ns hand giving it a squeeze

"Darling, I'll be back in a little, just stay with ace and sarrak "

Y/n smiles and nods as she hugged maras leg, Mara followed the clone up to the command room where she found the Jedi obi wan kenobi

"Hello there"

She nodded to him
"General kenobi"

"So mandalorian, I trust that your fitting in well with the grand army of the republic "

Mara rolled her eyes in her helmet, grand army was a lofty tittle

The Jedi smiles as if he could see her thoughts
"Before we go anywhere I wished to inform you of the most recent decision by the council, to ensure that the padawan is safe whenever she is with you and without a Jedi escort you will be traveling with a small company of clone troopers, hammer fall company, your second in command will be commander sledge"

Sledge stepped forward and saluted
"It's an honor ma'am "

Mara raised an eyebrow
"What is this? A gift or a group of spies?"

"A gift bounty hunter, they are all under your command, may the force be with you "

The communication cut off

"So commander Mara, should we set course for the Yavin system?"

"Nope"

"No? Then where are we going?"

Mara smiles under her helmet
"We are heading to mandalore, I have business to attend to, it should take only a few days at most, the situation on Yavin was stable last i checked, and our mission there was to make sure it stayed that way, Yavin will still be there when we get back "

The mission they had been given was to defend a republic candidate as they were elected as leader for the moon that orbited Yavin prime , the coronation wasn't for another week and a half, they had time

"Ma'am, that would be disobeying direct orders from general windu"

"I don't much care what windu thinks, he's not the Jedi I like anyways, you report to me now sledge, I'm not a Jedi, not even a true commander in the republic army, but believe me that if you guys are there for me then I will always be there for you, bounty hunters honor, but sometimes that means not listening to orders from the Jedi, understand?"
