"Thank you guys for working really hard and competing this year. I would also like to thank you guys for not giving up when things got tough." After the tournament ended the long drive from Seoul followed and you were back in Busan. The bus came to a halt in the school parking lot just beside the waiting parents.
"The girls team didn't win.." You frowned as the coach trailed off as she turned her gaze over to you. Lisa gave your hand a gentle squeeze while Eunha nudged you a little as a way to comfort you.
The coach smiled widely before reaching over to grab the large shiny, gold metal cup behind her. "But we still have this..." It was quite heavy so Chenle helped her hold it in the air. The whole team cheered loudly as they both bounced the trophy in the air.
Eunha's phone pinged in the depths of her pocket. She wandered away from her peers and took out her phone.
"Sorry, sweetie. Couldn't pick you up this time around, but your sister should be around soon. Congrats on your teams' win. Love mom and dad." Eunha sighed as she finished reading the message to herself. She laughed bitterly before taking a seat on the bench a few feet away from her.
"Have a great weekend!" The team cheered even louder this time as the coach carried the large trophy inside the school. Lisa ran over to the bus and grabbed her luggage before rushing back over to you.
"I'll see you on Monday." Lisa said before engulfing you in a hug. You laughed happily as you returned the action. She pulled away not long after and made her way over to Eunha and hugged her as well.
Lisa waved as she made her way in to one of the parked cars in the lot. You smiled widely before heading over to grab your suitcase as well. You made your way over to Eunha and took a seat beside her.
"Aren't your parents here yet?" She hummed as she glanced away from her phone. Eunha sighed inaudibly as she placed the phone back in her pockets.
"No. They are probably running late, but it's fine. I'll just wait for my sister at the convenience store around the corner." Eunha bit her lip trying to hold in her tears.
She quickly stood up ready to leave. You grabbed hold of her hand before she could go any further. You didn't want her to wait all by herself.
"Then I'll wait with you." You smiled reassuringly when you felt her hand shake in yours. Eunha felt guilty. You shouldn't have to wait with her after a long trip back. She pulled her hand away from yours as she tried to convince you otherwise.
"What about-" You gasped when a voice spoke from behind you, giving you quite a scare. Taeyong apologised simultaneously before standing beside Eunha.
Her shy smile didn't go unnoticed though.
"It's okay, Y/N." Taeyong said, interlocking his fingers with hers. "You can go ahead. I'll wait with her."
You raised one of your eyebrows suspiciously. "Did I miss something while we were at Seoul?" A sheepish smile formed on your face when you saw them both avoid any form of eye contact with you.
"Come on. You know you can just tell me." You said eagerly hoping they'd just tell you already. I mean it was quite obvious and all but you just wanted them to admit it.
Eunha bit her lip shyly before locking eyes with you.
"Taeyong and I are dating now." You squealed at their confession obviously happy for your best friend. You pulled both of them into a hug. They laughed at your childish behavior.
"I'm so happy for you guys! You make a really great couple."
"Thank you, Y/N." They said simultaneously causing them to look at each other in shock.
