Lizzie's POV:At the end of the day, after all of our classes are over, we are about to leave when we hear an announcement from the dean on the speakers.
"Hello, students!" The dean announces happily. We all groan, knowing that whenever the dean sounds that cheerful it means that something terrible will happen soon. "This is a special announcement to say that there will be a party hosted in this very building for you to have fun and socialize. It is going to be tomorrow at 12:00 pm instead of school. Because of this, any homework that would be due tomorrow will now be due the day after instead."
The whole university erupts with cheers. "Well, that was a pleasant surprise!" I say to my friends. They all gape at me. "What? We get an extra day to do the homework!"
"Lizzie, I don't think you understand," Yammy says slowly, clearly trying to explain what just happened to me. "The dean, the dean who always makes sure our lives at university are awful, just told us that he's throwing a party at the school tomorrow. The dean!"
"I mean, maybe he's nice and cool now?" Lauren suggests doubtfully. "But -- he's the dean! He would never throw a party, much less at our school!"
"There's no way that just happened. But it did happen!" Oli says, confused. "Also, will there be panda hats?" Oli is obsessed with pandas and has had a panda hat for years. It can't be healthy.
We all decide that there has to be some sort of ulterior motive. The dean would never just throw a party. There has to be some sort of thing that he's getting out of it, other than that 'Bringing everyone together' stuff. Why would he want us to go to a party? The dean that I know would be afraid that we would trash the entire school.
I think about why he would have done this all the way home.
The next day (the day of the party, remember? Have you seriously forgotten already?)
I wake up to my awful alarm clock at 7 am. I need to get that thing replaced. I'm about to get ready for class when I remember that this is the day of the party. Well, I guess I have a lot of time then. Maybe before I get ready I should record a video. I haven't posted in a while. Hm, what type of video should I make today? Oh, I know. I'm going to start a new series! But should it be singleplayer or multiplayer? I decide to ask Joel.
"JOEL!" I run into his room to wake him up. He rolls over and falls out of bed. "I wanna make a new Minecraft series! Should it be singleplayer or multiplayer?"
He yawns. "Probably multiplayer, because you already have ShadowCraftt as a singleplayer world, and you don't have any multiplayer series running."
"OK, thanks!" I say over-enthusiastically. "Who should I invite?"
We decide on having a series called Lovecraft, where the only people are me and Joel. I record a video for this new series and post it. I look at my watch. We only have 4 hours to get ready for the party!
"JOOOEEELLL!" I screech. He turns around to look at me. "We only have four hours to get ready for the party!"
He just laughs. "Lizzie, four hours is a long time."
"Not for me it isn't!" I yell. "I have to shower, get dressed, put on makeup, take pictures in the bathroom, brush my teeth, do my hair, make sure you don't look stupid, meet up with our friends, and drive to the party!"
Joel gapes.
"There's a reason that us girls take so long, you know!"
