I got in Kelsey's car. "What took you so long? And why do you have a teddy bear in ur hand?" She asked. I looked at the bear that I had forgotten about.

I took a deep breath. I knew it would make me feel a little bit better if Kelsey knew about it. She would try to make me feel better.

So I did. I told her.

I sat in silence trying to process things but nothing made sense.

"What do you mean? You literally told me to avoid him and now you're telling me this?" I asked Kelsey, in confusion, as I licked my ice cream. "I know. And maybe I'm right...but maybe...in wrong. I just!..He sounds like he really wants more than just make-out sessions with you."

I sighed and looked down at my ice cream. I really wish I had stopped him before he left. I looked at Kelsey, "I don't want my ice cream anymore."

Before she could say anything, I stood up. I turned around and didn't realize someone was behind me.
I jumped, making my Ice cream sneer all on their shirt. "Woah, that's cold," I heard a familiar voice. I looked to see James. "I am so sorry, James, I didn't-"

"It's fine," he chuckled.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, trying to show a smile. "I come here everyday after school," he said.
I didn't know if I believed that. He always seemed to know where I was. I didn't want to call him a stalker, but...I don't know. It's just weird that we always find each other in places. I raised my eyebrows and decided to go along with him, "wow, eating ice cream everyday is not healthy, you know that right?"

He chuckled, "I don't come for the ice cream. My sister works here." He pointed to the cashier. There was a girl. That's why she looked familiar.

"Oh wow. Y'all look alike so much," I stated. He let out a small laugh, "yep, we get that a lot."

I smiled. I was kind of relieved he wasn't a stalker. And now I felt bad for even thinking about him being one.

James looked at his sister, "Jess! Let's go!"

The girl looked at him and nodded. The girl grabbed her stuff and walked over to us. "Jess, this is Leah. Leah, this is Jess."

We both shook hands, smiled, and said, "hi".

"What happened to your shirt?" Jess asked, trying not to laugh. "Oh,nothing. I'll wash it when I get home."

James looked at me, "I'll see you at school, L."

I nodded and waved ad he left. I looked at my ice cream cone and then at Kelsey. "Wow, he likes you."
I rolled my eyes and she laughed, "let's go."

We arrived to my house and I hugged Kelsey. She stopped me before I could get off. "We never finished our 'Luke' conversation," she said.

"Yeah, and we're never going to to finish it. Maybe it's for the best," I said. She frowned. "Bye, Kels," I said and got off the car. She waved goodbye and drove off. I opened my house's door. I saw mom stand in front of me. "I-I'm in time," I said, thinking I was in trouble.

I heard the floor freak behind my mom. I looked and saw...my dad...and his...girlfriend. "Hey, Leah," he said as if he were talking to a baby. I tried to hold back the tears in my eyes. "W-what is he doing here?" I asked mom. "I-We came to invite you to our wedding," He said. "We thought it could be in person so I could see you."

I looked at the ground. A tears fell down my cheek. I quickly wiped it off. I looked at him and his fiancé. She tried giving me a smile. "No," I said. They looked at me. "I'm not going. Leave."
