I laid on the bed. Jacob's mom has told us to choose whatever room we wanted. Everyone started arguing and yelling about a room. I ended up with one of the single-bed rooms. So...I was alone in a room. What felt very weird was the Luke was in the room across from me. He had a two-bed room. He was sharing it with two other guys, and of course, Kelsey and Jacob were in one room.

I sighed and looked at my phone.

12 am.

I took a deep breath and stood up. I slowly opened my hotel-room's door. I speed-walked to the elevators. Soon, my feet were inside the hotel's inside-pool.

I took a deep breath. I soon felt someone sit a few feet apart from me. I looked to see Luke. He looked down at the pool. The lights under the pool made his eyes look brighter. I loved it.

His hair was messy...I loved it.

He finally looked at me. "You going to get in?" He asked. I didn't answer. I just stared at him. He sighed and jumped in the pool. I tried to hide my smile. "Come on," he looked at me. "Get in."

"I don't have a swimsui—"

Luke grabbed my hand and pulled me in the water. I started panicking. He grabbed me by my waist and held me. "Shh," he slightly chuckled. "Calm down."
I hit his chest, "Why would you do that?"

"Why not?" He smiled. I rolled my eyes and splashed water on his face. He did the same to me. I did it again. He did it back. Soon, we were laughing uncontrollably as we played around in the water like little kids.

Wow, I love him.

God damn it...I'm fucking in love with him.

I stopped. Luke stared at me. His smile faded, "what's wrong? Are you okay?"

"N-Yes. I—I'm going to go to my room," I said. I went to the pool stairs. "Hey, Leah!" I heard him yell. I grabbed a towel and wrapped it around me. I speed walked. I went to the elevators. I tapped my foot on the ground impatiently.

One of the elevators opened. I immediately went inside. The doors started closing. I felt my heart start beating as I saw Luke put his hands through the door, making it re-open.

He walked inside. The elevator doors closed.

It was silent.

I took a deep breath.

"...Ever since you came back, Luke just can't stop smiling. He just talks about you all-day-every-day,..."

.

..."W-wow," he said. I blushed. He grabbed my bra but I held it in place. I felt scared. He gave me a small smile and pecked my lips, "Don't worry. I'll take care of you."...

.

"Let me go," I said. He looked at my lips and then firmly back at my eyes, "make me."

.

"you'll never get how much I-I—how much I..."

I looked at him. He seemed to be nervous. He sighed and looked me in the eyes. "How much I-I love...you."

.

Suddenly, the elevator stopped. The doors didn't open. It took me awhile to realize we were stuck. Luke and I were stuck in an elevator. Together. At 1 in the morning.

Luke looked at me. He ran to click the emergency button. I could see how scared he was. He backed away from the button. "Hey, it'll be okay. We'll get out."

He looked panicked. He didn't say anything.

I went to the buttons and clicked the emergency button again. Suddenly a voice came through the elevator's speaker. "Hello, are you guys okay?"

I looked at Luke. He looked at me and then we both looked at the speaker. "Yeah...um, the elevator got stuck," I spoke.

"Okay. Y'all don't worry. Help is on the way and we'll get you out of there," The voice said. "Okay, thank you!" I said.

"No problem. This might take quite awhile so try to get comfortable," she said. "Okay."

There was a beep and the voice was gone.

Luke sat in the corner. I sat next to him. "Are you claustrophobic?" I asked. He looked at me, "a little."
I chuckled and put my hand in his, "we'll be okay."

He looked at our hands. I felt him Intertwine our fingers. He looked at me, "I hope you know that I'm trying to change. For you. And for me...for us."

I slowly nodded.

"How's that going?" I asked. "Pretty good actually," he answered.

I slightly smiled, "okay."

It was quiet. "Hey. About the photos—"

"I don't want to talk about that," I said. He sighed, "I know. I just need you to know that I didn't do anything. I wasn't part of it."

I took a deep breath and stood up, walking to the other side of the elevator. I felt his hand on my arm. I loved my arm away. "I think James might be part of all of this," Luke said.

"Don't bring him into this, okay? He's too sweet to do that."

"Sweet? He told me that you weren't into me. He told me that you had moved on. That's how the whole fight started! I didn't say anything—"

"Okay. I get it. Now, go back to your corner."

He sighed and went to his corner. He stood there, leaning his body on the wall. I stood across from him, in the other corner.

We looked at each other. "What is this? Five feet apart?" He asked. I rolled my eyes, "you get annoying sometimes."

"Look who's talking," he said. My jaw dropped, "so, you're going to try to fix things and then be rude?"

"You started it," he said. I rolled my eyes, "you sound like a 6-year-old."

"Oh? I'm the 6-year-old now? Just admit that you're only doing this whole "give-me-some-time-to-think" thing just so you can play hard to get," he said. My blood started to boil again.

"You know what? I'm done thinking. I don't want anything happening between us."

"Umm, no. What about me? Is it only what you 'decide'" he asked. "Well you just called me annoying and assumed I was playing hard to get, when I wasn't. You also said I sounded like a 6-year-old—"

"Well, you said some things, too." He said.

"Don't fucking interrupt me. You're so immature," I said. "How am I immature?" He said.

"Gee, I don't know. Maybe because you fuck a different girl every week," I said. "I told you—"

"I don't care. I hate you. No, I don't. I just hate how you are, and I hate that girls are all over you and you just let them be all over you. You don't do anything about it..." I said.

"Jealous much?" He smirked.

"Cocky much?" I rolled my eyes.

"Just admit it, Leah. You love me the way I love you."

"N-No. I don't and I never did. I was just confused," I lied.

"Don't lie to me, L."

I looked him firmly in the eyes, "I'm not lying."
