Ever since the loss of Jean Gray at Alkali Lake, it had been weighing on all of the people in the school.

Scott was never himself anymore, he clearly blamed himself for everything that had gone wrong.

Sierra was taking everything hard as well, seeing as Scott had been her best teacher, and she looked up to him.

Charles Xavier had given him a challenge to train a student to take over for him, after he had either retired or if he had taken over for Xavier himself.

Now, Sierra had found herself being handed a position of responsibility, a huge one, that she hadn't even known that she was being groomed for.

Also on top of the new position, she was also dealing with the struggle of her own decision to not use fire again as a tool.

It was getting especially hard for her to keep to her new philosophy of fire not being used, as there was another student who could create and use fire at will, not at all unlike, what her and Pyro used to do together.

Sierra shakes her head to be rid of those useless thoughts as she knocked on the door of Scott's room, and when she got no response, she opened it.

"I brought you food and a soda. There is also water in the kitchen, and pecan pie." She said her tone quietly hopeful of him coming out of his self isolation.

"Thanks for the food. Now leave." The voice that gave the reply was hoarse a tone of hollow pain, and grief.

"Everyone misses Scott Summers around here. I'm no replacement for you Cyclops. Ever." She says and a blast from his eyes narrowly missed her. "Okay, I'm leaving." She mumbles and walked out of the room.

She shut the door behind her and came face to face with Rogue, and she backed up immediately, her eyes flash with lightning.

"I'm sorry! I didn't do anything to you, my room is that way remember?" The scared girl said and Sierra just walked past her without any more words said at all.

"We all miss him. It wasn't just you that cared about him." Rogue said and Sierra stopped at the room, that she chooses to stay in now.

"You guys tolerated him. There is a huge, big difference between caring and tolerating someone Rogue. Learn the difference, before you quote stuff like that at me." Sierra says quietly.

"I believe you have a class to teach now?" She looked up at Charles' voice in her head, and just sighs, as she'd be continuing on her way downstairs.

Colossus nodded at her as she walked by, but she said nothing as she walked into the gym classroom, and everyone went quiet immediately.

The classroom was outside, so really by all standards it wasn't a classroom, but by default, a lot of people called it one anyways.

"Hey guys. How's it going?" She asked as they all looked at her with shock on their faces. "What is it?" She asks, and a boy pointed behind her.
