I won't leave you

"Bobby... have you tried... not being a mutant?" His mother asks, and Sierra shakes her head.

"Have you tried not breathing?" She snapped at his mother immediately at once, without even thinking, and then she shakes her head.

"I need some air." She said and walked outside, holding her head in her hands.

She leaned down to the grass, and felt the ground tremblin a bit beneath her hands, as if there were people around her.

"Put your hands where we can see them! Do it!" A gun clicked, as a bullet slid into the chamber.

Sierra slowly stands up.

"Guys, where's Sierra?" John asks as they heard the sirens wailing, as their now enemies who were made up of the police all approached.

"Sorry, Johnny." Sierra says, as she was handcuffed and on the ground next to one of the police cars.

"Look, kid, I said on the ground!" The policeman who had just shot Logan in a fit of fury says.

"Don't," Sierra said, and then the woman kicked her in the stomach to shut her up, and Sierra coughs as she tried to wind back. "Go Pyro." She said quietly.

"We don't want to hurt you, kid." The woman warned John, as he continued to stand stock still, in a deadly silence.

"Well then, why did you hurt my family?" He asks, as the policewoman who had spoken to warn him, was the one who had kicked Sierra as well.

Rogue and Bobby were already lying on the ground, and Sierra's fingers all began to heat up, as she looks at John, who was sensing the heat.

Her hands slowly began to heat up more and the handcuffs had melted away, and she stands up, and they'd all be looking at her in shock.

"You know all those dangerous mutants you hear all about on the news?" He asked, as Sierra walked over to stand next to him, her fingers already lighting up with flames.

"I'm the worst one." John said, as the lighter flicks open, and the fire began to move quickly, after he finished his piece.

Sierra was boosting John's abilities, with her own fire abilities, while she used her grass abilities to tip over the police cars.

Rogue pulled off her gloves in a panic, and grabbed Sierra's ankle, and then a split second later, Sierra's powers they all at once, began to fade.

She choked as Rogue refused to stop and John noticed it, as Sierra hits her head on the ground.

"Rogue!" Bobby looked panicked, as Rogue quickly released Sierra and she grabbed John's ankle.

The fires were all extinguished, as Bobby helped Sierra stand up quickly with John's help, as they ran to the jet, with a newly healed Logan, there as well.

"Sierra. Are you all right?" Storm asked her, as Sierra looked sickly and weak as John buckles her into a seat.

"Rogue, you could've killed her." John snaps at the power absorbing mutant, as Sierra was shaking.

"Please don't do that again." John says to Storm, as suddenly the entire plane flipped all around them, as Sierra had, thrown up from behind them.

"I agree." Logan says, as suddenly Storm was using her abilities to make a good amount of cyclones and clouds to block the air force weapons.

After they had been saved by Magneto of all people, Sierra was lying in the grass, watching it grow quicker and slower, as her mind was commanding it.

"Hey." John said quietly, and she looked up at him, as he gave her a thermos. She smiles slightly at him.

"Thanks John." She murmured and then as he looks at her, she raised her eyebrows back at him. "What's wrong Johnny?" She asked him, and he looks at the ground next to her, and he sat.

"Seeing you almost lose your abilities... I mean, you sounded like you were dying Sierra. I mean it. I'm not lying to you, when I say that it was occurring to me, that you weren't gonna get up." He said, and Sierra put the thermos down, and hugs him tight and her eyes were shining with tears.

"Don't. I won't ever leave you. Ever, you hear me Johnny?" She asks, as she felt a drop on the back of her neck. "It isn't in my nature to leave my family, I won't make it my nature now."

She'd say, as he hugs her tighter. "I won't leave you John. I promise." She whispered.

"If you won't, then I won't." He murmurs to her, and they just lay there in the grass in silence. At peace for once in their chaotic lives.
