Cassie POV
No way.
I cannot believe I just did that.
I felt frozen in place, as the coffee shop grew awfully silent.
My eyes trailed from the empty cup to the soaked boy in front of me. My body being completely frozen and my mind was blank. What have I done?
The boy in front of me was narrowing his eyes at me, clearly annoyed.
Despite the glare he was shooting at me, the first thing I thought was 'Wow. This boy is attractive'.
He had dark brown hair, complimented by his eyes which were the most beautiful light brown. He was wearing a plain grey top that exposed his broad shoulders and a pair of slightly faded out jeans. He looked perfect despite his obvious lack of effort in his clothing.
But the sight of his shirt caused me to want to burst out laughing, he looked ridiculous with his newly tinged pink coloured shirt. And I would've if it wasn't for the eerie silence that had settled in the shop.
Just when I thought I couldn't possibly take anymore of this silence, I was relieved to see Chelsea heading our way and stepping between us to hand the boy a towel, "You better wipe yourself dry before you catch a cold." She said worriedly, the boy nodded taking the towel from her while squeezing some lemonade out of his shirt. Chelsea looked around waving off the people that were now staring at us, "Come on now, nothing to see here. Please go back to enjoying your food and drinks." She said with a smile.
I was so thankful that Chelsea had stepped in, she was definitely one to go on my 'amazing people' list. I found myself releasing the breath that I didn't realize I was holding. This was not a good start upon my new arrival. Not at all.
"Why don't you two sit go wait at that table while I clean up?" she said gesturing at the empty table along the window. "And free hot chocolate on the shop" she said sneaking us a wink. "After all you guys have been through today, I'm sure it will warm you up" she added walking off behind the counter.
I stole a quick glance at the boy, who was already making his way towards the table. I quickly trailed after him dreading his response. He was clearly pissed as far as I could tell by his quick steps and rough way he pulled out the chair.
I took a seat opposite him avoiding his gaze the best I could. "I'm so sorry." I managed to mumble finally finding my voice.
"I didn't quite catch that, mind if you say it again?" he said raising an eyebrow, still trying to wipe away the lemonade from his hair which was now messy and sticking all over the place.
I have to say, with his hair being all messy made him look even more hot than he already did.
"I'm sorry." I repeated looking out the window watching someone walk by with a dog.
The boy smirked "Sorry I don't think that's how sound works. Can you please transmit the sound via facing me? I think I'd get better reception that way." Gesturing towards himself with a towel in his hand.
"I'm sorry" I say a bit louder. By now it was clear he was doing this on purpose, there was a glint in his eyes that I didn't like. Raising an eyebrow again, and putting down the towel beside him he again asked "Sorry mind if you say it again? I think I might have some of the lemonade still in my ear."
A sudden feeling of annoyance was stirring inside me. It was obvious he could hear me, he wouldn't have missed me saying it a third time in a row. "I'm sorry ok?" I exclaimed, my voice coming out much louder than I intended causing everyone in the shop to once again glance towards our direction.
