All the good girls go to hell- Billie Elish

I walk into Blake's room seeing her sitting next to Nadia. She was running her hand through her hair slowly as Nadia laid on the bed and slept. I clear my throat making Blake look at me but she doesn't move away. "What?"

"My father. I think he's in danger."

     "Why do you think that?"

"We have a code and he used it on the phone a few minutes ago. He said there's danger around him, there's nothing I can do and that he loves me. I know something is wrong, and I'm scared Blake." She nods and stands up looking to Nadia again and taking a breath. I felt bad. She never seemed to get to spend time with her anymore. She was always pulled away to do something else. I guess that's one of the cons of being a mafia leader. There's danger everywhere you go and you never get a break.

This is no way or place to raise a family. Blake walks toward me and opens her door nodding to the man outside it, allowing him to walk in before she and I both walk out. "What have you done since then?" She asks.

"I told Archer to watch my dads place, Eddie tracked my dads phone and it's still at his place, so he's either still there or he left his phone."

"Alright. I'll take a few guys to go to his place and see what's going on."

"I'm going too." I say but she stops and faces me

"I'm sorry Ryder, but I can't let that happen."

"What do you mean can't? You can't let it happen or you won't let it happen?"

     "Both."

     "Why not?"

"Because Ryder if this is Dane and his father we can't give them a chance at getting you again. You should understand that more than anyone else."

"What?" I snap as she turns away. "Blake this is my father. I can't just stay here and wait around. I have to be there. I have to be there for him so I'm going with you." She shakes her head.

"No you're not." She says and I step back in disbelief. I had high hopes for her. I thought she was better. Different. Good. Turns out she's not. She's a disappointment just like everyone else. She's trying to control my life just like everyone else. What makes her better than Dane?

     "He's my father."

"And I'll bring him to you. But not the other way around." She nods to something behind me and starts walking away again.

"Wait, Blake-" something hits the back of my head making everything go black but the last thing I heard was Blake's footsteps walking away.

Walking home from the mall, I wrap my arms around myself. It was colder than usual tonight and that was probably because it was going to start snowing soon. The grass was white from frost already and for some reason seeing that made me shiver more. Shaking my head, I let out a breath seeing it blow away like it turned to smoke. It made me regret not listening to my mom and leaving my jacket at home. It was too cold to be out here in a red t-shirt and black leggings and sadly that's exactly what I was wearing. It didn't help that I didn't have a car either. I had to walk.

I see a poster stapled to a pole that would be flying away in the breeze if it wasn't for the staples, but seeing it makes me stop. It was a poster of a missing kid I went to school with. His name was Jack and I always thought he was cute. He was a year older than me and he was a wrestler so the muscles on his arms may helped in my attraction to him. He was also smart, and nice. There were rumors about his family. His dad was a drunk who would get pissed if he lost a wrestling match, or even had a bad grade. I had felt bad for him, and I wanted to talk to him, I just didn't know how to. It was crazy to know he was missing.
