4 - Allies
Pan sighed as she left the school building. She had never been overly fond of going to school, but she had never hated it, either. That was until today. It had been a nightmare coming back. After the scene at lunch, Pan had gone to the nurse, who was already informed about her situation and allowed her to rest for the remainder of the day. Because of that, Pan had been able to steadily avoid everyone, including Shun.
The afternoon air was chilly, and Pan sniffed as she wrapped her arms around herself. She kept her head down and tried not to focus on any conversations around her.
"What's he doing here?!" An excited voice shouted, gaining Pan's attention. It was hard to ignore the girlish giggling. "He's still so hot!"
"And look at his little girl! She's so cute!" Another voice piped in.
"Do you think he's looking for a nanny? I'd like to apply to work for free."
Pan furrowed her eyebrows and glanced around the girls just in time to see Trunks and Hana standing near the school gates. Hana, bundled up in a thick pink coat and a matching pink hat, spotted Pan and grinned.
"Panny!" She yelled as she waved her arms. "Hana and Daddy have come to pick you up!"
After being frozen for a short second due to shock, Pan smiled. Hana started to run towards her, and Trunks' eyes widened. He was still wearing his suit from work. It was dark blue with a black satin tie. The colors really brought out his eyes.
"Hana, be careful!" Trunks was right behind her. "Sorry," he apologized to the group of girls that Hana had run right through. He was oblivious to the way the girls giggled and blushed at the sight of him. Pan fought back a snort. She didn't understand how Trunks could never notice how attractive he was.
"Hanny!" Pan knelt down and caught the girl in her arms as she flew towards her. She squeezed her, and Hana giggled into her hair as her little arms wrapped around her neck. Pan could feel her day becoming better already. "What are you two doing here?" She asked as Trunks walked up to them, smiling softly.
"Hana wanted some ice cream, and I promised you I'd show you the ropes," he grinned.
"Panny, eat ice cream with Hana!" The girl smiled as she tugged on Pan's hand.
"Okay," Pan nodded because it would be impossible to tell Hana no.

"You know, I've heard of pregnancy cravings, but this one is just weird, Panna," Trunks said as he watched her dip a fried chicken strip into her vanilla ice cream.
"Don't knock until you try it," she told him with a grin. "Hana likes it," she motioned to the girl standing in the booth next to Trunks and dipping a chicken strip into her chocolate ice cream.
"Yeah, well, she's weird, too," Trunks laughed.
"And I wonder who she gets that from," Pan teased.
"Her Nono, probably," he said with a grin.
Trunks had been happy to see Pan smiling when he had picked her up with Hana. After their phone call, he couldn't stop worrying about her. It was easy enough to find an excuse to see her and check up on her in person. Hana adored Pan and was always so happy to see her, which Trunks was thankful for.
They ate their ice cream with chattering from Pan and Hana. Trunks listened to them happily as they talked about Hana's barbies. According to Hana's ramblings, the Barbies lived their best life in their dream house.
Pan's phone dinged, and with a look of confusion, she pulled it out of her jacket. Her eyes squinted at the text message, but then she gasped loudly and dropped her spoon on the table.
