12 - Our Baby
"I'm just saying that you could have put Go first," Goten said as he held Trugo. Bulla had to admit that there was a certain appeal to see Goten holding a baby. Maybe it was because little Trugo looked tiny in his arms. Whatever the reason, watching Goten hold the baby made Bulla's stomach flutter. "It could have been Gokun or Gotenks," Goten continued.
Pan rolled her eyes from her spot on the couch. She was surrounded by pillows to keep her as comfortable as possible. It had been three days since Trugo had been delivered, so Pan was still extremely sore. Pan and Trugo had only arrived home that morning, and Bulla had been there to greet her with Goten. Bulla had gone home only long enough to pack two suitcases full of clean clothes so she could stay over at the Sons for the next two weeks to help Pan out. She was taking her godmother role very seriously, so it was no surprise that she had beat Goten to the car seat and unbuckled the baby first.
"I think Tru is just fine going first," Pan defended.
"It's because Trunks is higher than me on your cuteness scale, isn't it?" Goten pouted.
"Cuteness scale?" Bulla giggled as she raised an eyebrow at Pan. It was her first time hearing that.
Pan huffed, "he's still bitter about Valentine's Day. I made Trunks more chocolate than him. And Goten, Trunks was literally in the operating room with me when they cut my stomach open and pulled Trugo out. I think he deserves to go first."
"She has a point," Bulla told her boyfriend.
The front door opened and a blur of lavender rushed towards the couch. Bulla held out her arms with a grin, but Hana ran right past her and straight to Pan!
"Panny!"
"Hana!" Pan laughed and caught the girl in her arms just in time.
"Hey!" Bulla pouted from her spot beside Pan. "You didn't even say hi to me, Hana!"
Hana giggled, "Bu-Bu!" She leaned over so she was hugging Pan and Bulla together.
"Hana, be careful!" Trunks said as he slipped off his shoes. "I told you Panny is going to be sore."
Hana leaned back and looked at Pan worriedly. "Panny sore?"
"A little bit," Pan nodded, "but I'm okay. I've missed you, my Hanny!" She pulled Hana closer and squeezed her.
"Oh my gosh, Vegeta!" Bulma cooed; she had rushed in after Trunks was leaning over the recliner Goten was sitting in. "Come look at him! He's a doll!" She told Pan
"Thank you," she smiled.
"Vegeta, come look!" Bulma called him over.
Bulla watched in amusement as her father, who had been trying to sneak into the kitchen, froze. "What?" He raised an eyebrow. "You've seen one baby, you've seen them all."
"Just come here!" Bulma huffed.
Bulla wasn't sure if her mother had stolen Trugo from Goten, or if had given him to her, but Bulma was now holding the baby. Goten stood up to let Bulma sit on the recliner and he sat beside Bulla on the couch. Bulla fought the urge to curl up against Goten.
"Damn," Vegeta said as he looked at Trugo. "He looks like fuckin' Kakarot."
Hana gasped loudly and sat up straight. Bulma glared at Vegeta, who paled. "Nono!" Hana waved a finger at him. "No bad words!"
Vegeta huffed as he turned to stalk into the kitchen to find Goku, "stop turning my granddaughter against me!" He called after Bulma.
"Stop cussing and I won't!" Bulma yelled after him.
