The archers brought out arrows from their quivers with a great urgency, fiddling with the bows strings and aiming into the dark, cause they couldn't see anything at this point.

Nothing dared move, not even the wind. Making the atmosphere still with a peculiar tension, the only noises heard was the high pitched tone of birds as their wings etched into the sky negating gravity.

"Somethings in the forest trees, I can feel it. Stay calm little sister," said Chilonis, her hunters senses tingled with an anticipation that was on edge, but this time it wasn't for catching prey but for safety.

Almost immediately, she glanced a dark figure shift positions, her fingers went by itself, her arrow slid off her bow and darted in it's direction, it was certain that her sister saw the same aberration she did, because she too slinged out arrows from her bow deliberately.

"Do you think we've killed it? Shall we go check? What do you think it was? -Sister!!! Are you hearing me at all?" asked the younger of the sisters, her pulse accelerated, it was clear that anxiety was kicking in.

Chilonis ignored her questions still, she heard no sounds and that was what worried her the most, she came down from her mount, holding the saddle as support, the mushy ground softened her landing, rain was still splattering and racketeering about on the tree branches and leaves.

She ventured into the woods, which was wet and scattered, looking around she saw nothing, no strange figures was seen, not even the arrows they fired remained.

Unconvinced, she came out pondering. "It's quite strange, but I don't see anything sister, maybe we were wrong," said she while climbing out.

There was no reply that part too was strange, Chilonis went back to where her sister was holding her horse, to her frightened surprise there was a group of people there too, she knew then that that was the plan from the beginning, to distract them and gesture one of them into the woods, separating then conquering them, such tactics where as old as time itself.

An anger swelled up inside of her at the the sight of her sister, being forcefully held by one of the strangers, they were about a group of ten women and they wore colorful wooden masks on their faces that depicted animals of the wild.

They held battle axes sharpened both sides of the wooden stick and bows accompanied by arrows, wearing cloaks that shielded them from the rain too. "Unhand my sister immediately, if you so love your life!!!" shouted Chilonis fiercely, a blaze of fury was in her eyes. "Are you alright sister?"

Chilton couldn't reply, there was a strong hand holding her mouth, she remembered feeling a person strangle her from behind her horse, then dragging her to alight, it was a woman, she guessed that correctly, feeling breasts on the skin of her back.

She was quite shocked at first, but shunned anxiety when she saw her sister was close by violently holding her mortal instruments of death, positioned towards the Invaders.

"Unhand her now!!! Or my arrows shall kiss the bones of your skull!" shouted Chilonis.

"You're trespassing on our sacred lands, any attempt of using your weapon shall result in the demise of your young companion," replied one of the strangers.

"Harm her and you shall face my fury and the entire army of Potnia Theron. I shall not say this again unhand her immediately, it matters not if you all are ten or a hundred, my arrows shall find you all with a swiftness!" thundered Chilonis, her voice was louder than the splattering of rain.

"Cheif, Look at her emblem on her cloak!" mentioned one of the masked strangers, pointing at the emblem etched on Chilonis cloak of a stag with it's horns held high, in the middle was a crescent moon, which was the symbol of Potnia Theron.
