Stay away from her

Addison POV

I can't believe I'm going to a new school. I'm so excited for a new start. I drive into the parking lot and hop out of my car. A few people looked my way as I headed to the front of the school.
"Hey are you Addison?" I turn my head and see a very short pretty girl with dark brown hair.
"Yes" I say and she smile at me.
"I'm Avani, I'll be showing you around the school" she says cheerfully.

"Let's go!" I smile and follow her into the school.
"Let's first go to reception to get your schedule" I nod my head as we walk into a big room. We go towards the desk in the middle of the room. Avani looks at me and I look away from her to look at the receptionist who gave me a small smile.
"Hello my name's Addison, I'm new here" I say and she types away on her keyboard.
"Nice to meet you Addison, here's your schedule" she hands me a piece of paper and I take it.

"Thank you"
"You welcome dear"
"Bye Mary!" Avani says and the receptionist laughs. We both head out and down the hallway.
"Okay so this hallway has science and math" I nod my head and look into the classes.
"So why did you decide to come to this school?" Avani asks and I swallow hard but manage to give her a smile.

"My mom just got a better job here...so" she nods her head.
"I can tell that you aren't telling the truth, but don't worry I know we have just met. When you are ready you can tell me" she says sweetly and I let out a big sigh.
"Thanks" she smiles. We head up the stairs and she shows me where most of my classes were, the cafeteria, the sports field and other normal school things.

"So your first class is math, it's a shame we don't have it together" the bell rings and we go to my maths class.
"And this is were we part" I smile at her.
"Thanks for showing me around"
"No problem come and find me at lunch" I nod my head and I look inside to the classroom when my eyes land on girl with dark hair.
"Who's that?" I say not being able to look away from her. She was to busy doing something that she didn't notice me.

"Stay away from her" I look at Avani and frown.
"Why?"
"Just stay away from her, okay?" She says firmly and I nod my head.
"Okay" she smiles again.
"Bye Addison see you later" I wave at her as she runs down the hallway. I walk inside my class as everyone talks and takes there seats. There was only one seat left and it was by the girl Avani told me to stay away from.

I sigh and take a seat next to her. She doesn't even look up and I take that as a good sign. Even though a little inside me was curious about her. I look over at her and that's when she finally looks up and meets my eyes. She had pretty brown eyes that seemed to watch your ever move. Her eyebrow was slit making her look even hotter than she was already. No, why did I call her hot?

I look away from her but I could still feel her eyes on me. I start fiddling with my things to try and pretend that she wasn't watching me. I couldn't take it anymore and I looked back at her. As I did she smirked and looked down. I pecked over at what she was doing and saw that she was busy drawing something and it was damn good.

"Okay class, welcome to a new year of school!" The teacher says standing in front. The girl shuts her sketch book and pays attention to the maths teacher.
"For anyone new here my name is Ms.Morgan" she writes a math equation on the board.
"Let's start!" Ms.Morgan says and begins to explain someone equations on the board. I just looked at it dumb struck. Maths isn't my strong point I just don't understand why they have to exclude the alphabet with numbers?!

"Can anyone answer this question?" The girls hand goes up straight away and I look at her.
"Yes, Dixie" so her name is Dixie. Pretty name, what the fuck stop!
"The answer is -0,976" she says quickly and I stare at her amazed that she managed to get the answer so fast.
"Correct!" Ms.Morgan says and writes it down.
"Okay everyone I'm going to give you some worksheets to work through to see if you understand" she begins handing out to people and hands one to me. I smile and look at the questions.

Great. I do the first two before getting stuck on the third one. I stare at it frustrated and upset.
"Hey do you need some help?" I turn my head and see Dixie looking at me with a soft face.
"Yes please" she smiles and moves her chair closer to me.
"Ok, so you see there's three circles with letters right. RCS equals 15 so to only work out CC you take C-RC- CS-RCS which equals 63-8-(x- 15) - 15 which in total equals 55-x" I stare at the question and finally understand.

"Do you get it now?" I nod my head and I write everything down.
"Thanks" I say and she smiles.
"So what's your name?" She asks and I tuck a piece of hair behind my ear.
"Addison" she smirks.
"Dixie" I smile at her.
"I know" I stare into her eyes and suck in a big breath.
"Girls no talking get back to work!" Ms.Morgan says and I look down at my work immediately.

"Sorry Ma'am" Dixie says and moves away. I side eye her and see her smiling. I smile too as she side eyes me. I giggle softly and she try's hard not to laugh. Why in the world did Avani want me to stay away from her?

You see Dixie was nearly in every one of my classes. I wanted to sit next to her in English but Avani was in that class and I sat next to her, far away from Dixie. Dixie always seemed to be in the front of the class and would always listen and do her work. I headed to lunch and got some food before I looked around the room and I saw Avani wave at me from across the room. I smile and head over to her. She was sitting with a big group of people as they all looked at me.

"Guys this is Addison" Avani says smiling and I gave everyone a little wave.
"I'm Chase" the one guy said smiling at me and I smiled back.
"I'm Bryce" the guy said to me as I took a seat.
"It's nice to meet you" I say and he smiles sweetly at me before taking a bite of his apple. The other's names was Anthony who Avani has a crush on, Piper, Megan and Jake. Everyone was very sweet. I looked up from my food and saw Dixie talking to a girl that looked a lot like her. Maybe it's her sister, they looked like they were having a serious conversation.

A guy came out of no where and tapped Dixie on her shoulder. She turned around and he whispered something into her ear before she nodded and followed him. They started to approach our table and her eyes met mine. I waved at her and she didn't wave back as she looked away and disappeared outside.
"I told you to stay away from her" I look at Avani who looked worried and annoyed at me.

"Why?" I ask and she just shakes her head.
"Just stay away"
"No give me a proper reason cause in class she was nice to me, she even helped me with a math question" Avani sighed.
"Look there's been a lot of rumours about her and non of them are good"
"Not to mention she's the biggest bitch ever, I heard she broke someones finger just cause they looked at her weirdly" Anthony said and I stared at him.

"Just stay away Addison, it's for the better" Avani says and goes back to eating her food. I can't believe that the girl with cute freckles and a pearly white smile could possible be someone who would do anything bad.
