Field trip (part two)

Dixie POV

I open my eyes and see that I'm still in the barn. I rub my eyes and sit up. I look over to my right and see Addison fast asleep practically falling off the hay. I roll my eyes but smile.
"UP EVERYONE!" I hear one of the counsellors shout. I get up dusting the hay off of me and shake Addison.
"Addison get up!" I say and she screams which makes me scream and fall onto my ass. Addison falls off the hay and lands on the ground.

"WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU SCREAM?!" I shout at her as I get up. She looks at me and rubs her eyes hard.
"Sorry I don't know why I screamed" she says and I sigh.
"We have to go back to our rooms and get ready" I say walking out and heading towards my room. I open the door and close it. Sienna, Grace and Zoey were all looking at me.

"Where the fuck did you go?" Zoey says.
"I just went to play guitar and fell asleep in the barn okay, drop it" I walk past them and into the bathroom. I look at myself in the mirror and sigh. I get ready before walking back out.
"I'm sorry I was bitch, I'm working on it" I say and Zoey smiles at me and hugs me.
"It's okay I know this whole best friend thing is new" I smile and take her hand.

"Let's go" she smiles big and I pull her out the room. All of us head to Quinn and I see Addison and her friends were there already. Addison looks at me but I don't look at her.
"Today is something a little calmer and relaxing" I look at my friends and we all smile at each other.
"Come on first up is horse back riding, and I promise you it's going to be a beautiful trail" we all walk towards the barn where I see all of the horses tacked up.

"Dixie you're horse is over there" I smile big and walk over to my big dappled horse, Magnus. I smile big and pet him he nuzzles his nose in my hand and neighs in approval.
"I missed you too buddy" I say and take a helmet from the groom.
"Thanks Thomas" I say and he smiles. I put on my helmet and hop on. After I was settled I saw nearly everyone on and I turn my left to see Addison on her horse petting her. I smile at the sight when Addison catches me looking I quickly look away.

"Let's head out" Quinn says on her horse and leads us down a pathway. We head towards the huge green forest and I relax into the saddle. It's been awhile since I've last had a ride but I'm sure I've still got it. We head into the forest and head down a beautiful pathway that had trees blocking the sky. Sunlight shined through the leaves and I sighed.

So that failed. A thunderstorm was approaching and fast. We had turned around and was heading back to camp when it started raining, just great. Magnus didn't care about the rain or the thunder but I saw the other horses getting a little freaked out.
"We have to be quick!" Quinn shouts as we head down the pathway. We finally got to the clearing which meant we were close to home.

Then lighting hit the ground and shook the ground. A few of the horse freaked out but the girls stayed on.
"Everyone trot or canter just get back home now!" Quinn shouted and Zoey started cantering. The other horse seemed to follow her and just as I was about to ask Magnus to canter there was another lighting strike.
"Shit!" I heard Addison shout and I turned my head to see Addisons horse freaking out and bucking.

Her horse throws her off and she hits the ground before her horse gallops off back home. Shit. Shit. I trot to where Addison was and hop off Magnus.
"DIXIE!" I hear Quinn shout and I look to see Quinn not far away from us.
"Just go I've got Addison" she nods her head and canters back to camp. I bend down and Addison looks at me.
"That hurt" she says and I laugh.

"Anything broken?" I say and she shakes her head.
"No I don't think so"
"Then let's go" I say helping her up off the very muddy and slippery ground. I get on Magnus and offer my hand to Addison who takes it and with ease I help her on. She wraps her arms around my waist and I tense but brush it off and grab the reins.
"Magnus go" I say and gently kick him into a canter. All you could hear was his hooves hitting the watery ground and my beating heart as I push him faster but make sure that we don't slip.

We head through the gates and that's when I knew we were safe but the ground was to slippery. I slow Magnus down.
"Why are we slowing down?" Addison asks as the rain pours even harder.
"We have to go on foot the ground is to slipper" I say and she nods her head. Addison hops off and I hop off too grabbing her hand and grabbing Magnus by the reins. We all walk quickly to the light coming from the camp. The lighting got louder and I started running pulling Magnus and Addison with me.

The barn was the closest as another lighting strike hit the ground. I let go off Addisons hand.
"What here I'm just putting Magnus in the barn!" I shout and she nods her head. I quickly went into the barn and put Magnus into one of the stables. I tie his reins and look out and see Addison in the rain taking her helmet off and tossing it to the ground. We make eye contact and everything just stopped.

Fuck this. I run to her and grab her waist and crash my lips to hers. It was like a fire lit inside me as she deepened it and wrapped her arms around my neck. Instead of the pouring rain and thunder all you could hear was two beating hearts.
