Whoosh. I figured that we don't know a lot about Mika or what she dos for a living so this chapter and maybe the next one will highlight that.
. . .
Mika POV
The moment I am conscious I am aware of an acute sting between my legs, ignorable but also noticeable. I am immediately reminded of last nights evens. I feel a smile on my face as I recall what happened. I push my hand out to the other side of my bed. but my hand only feels the cold temperature of my silk sheets.
My eyes snap open and I greeted with nothing. She is gone. Where has she gone?
I look up at the time
1:13pm Shit it's late. My shift starts soon. I look around. Where is the hell she? Does she think she can just fuck me and then leave like I'm one of her whores? If she does then she is mistaken.
I sit up and look around sure enough any trace of her is gone. All of my clothes are folded up by the end of the bed, but there was no sign of Toni's. I look down at myself and it turns out I am wearing Toni's shirt over my naked body.
Okay at least last night wasn't a dream. I get up not bothering to put on any underwear and walk down the stairs, the further I descend down the staircase a beautiful smell enters my nose. I reach the kitchen and see that there is a tray filled with breakfast foods.
Bacon, eggs, sausages, buttered bread, plantain and salmon. There was a note next to the tray in Toni's cursive formal handwriting.
"Good Morning or Afternoon Shortcake. As much as I would've loved to watch your beautiful face asleep for a little longer and have you wake up by my side, I do have to go to work. I made you breakfast but I didn't know what you wanted so I made everything. There is a smoothie in the fridge and a brownie. Text me when you finish eating. Don't forget to go to work. XxxX Your handsome lover"
I smile. Not an inward smile but a wide grin showing all my teeth. I walk over to the fridge and sure enough there is a pretty looking smoothie sitting there with fruit on top. And brownies on a a plate.
