Hyunjin was out of herself, she didn't even know what was going on when she woke up in a hospital bed. Beside her was Heejin sleeping soundly.
Some hours ago, Heejin and Hyunjin were getting on the taxi the redhead was super dizzy she couldn't keep her head up so she chose to rest in the older's shoulder. Heejin took a deep breath this night was surely something else.
—Are you okay? Do you want to go to the hospital? —Heejin asked.
—Mm? Nooo... I'm not sick. —Hyunjin was obviously feeling horrible but she didn't say it out loud.
She hated the fact that Heejin had to take care of her as if she wasn't an adult. Her pride was hurt, but right now she'd just go with her.
They arrived home, Hyunjin needed help to walk which Heejin didn't mind the younger wasn't heavy at all. Every step Hyunjin took she felt even more nauseous.
At one point after entering the house she let herself fall over the sofa, she didn't have time to examine her surroundings because she immediately threw up in the carpet. Suddenly her vision became blurry and everything around her because twisted, her head killed her.
Heejin noticed this when she was going to give her a glass of water and some painkillers. She didn't hesitate to run and check on her condition, Hyunjin's eyes were out of orbit, and her breathing was irregular, she was like blank in some strange way.
—Hey! Hyunjin! Answer me. —Heejin fried to make her sit up but her body was too weak, she tried to gently slap her so she could get some sort of reaction but no, she was not answering.
Heejin was about to carry her to give her a bath when she suddenly threw up and fainted right in front of her. Heejin freaked out and called emergency.
When they arrived to the hospital the doctor told Heejin she had been drugged with a very strong hallucinogen, plus the high amount of alcohol she had consumed she could've died from a shutdown of certain parts of the brain. But luckily she was being treated and by the next day she'd be fine.
Heejin could finally breathe again, she was dead worried. A few tears rolled down her cheeks she couldn't bear seeing the younger sick, especially after the events in the club.
—Mrs. Jeon? I'm afraid you weren't aware of the fact that Mrs. Kim has already passed away. Your money is being returned to your bank account safely. —The doctor said while bowing and returning to check on Hyunjin.
Heejin was left in shock, obviously Hyunjin hasn't told her. Now everything made sense about her behavior. Maybe she was still mourning her mother's death and Heejin suddenly came in her life as if nothing had happened.
Oh how Heejin wished she could just disappear from earth.
The rest of the night she stayed beside Hyunjin's bed she tried to stay up but her eyes gave up and fell asleep.
Now Hyunjin is up, and very confused. She moved Heejin a little.
—Hyunjin!? Oh my god you're okay! Does something hurt? Can you see me? —Heejin's first reaction was to get closer and examine her with a worried expression.
—I am fine but what am I doing here? —Hyunjin asked
Heejin swallowed and explained to her all the things that happened the night before, Hyunjin was so embarrassed and just wanted to die. She immediately apologized to Heejin saying she won't cause anymore problems.
—How long it's been since we came here?
—It's already been a full day, it's currently 10 pm, the doctor had been coming in regularly, he told me that I should tell him when you wake up so you can be discharged. —Heejin softly smiled and went to call the doctor.
Hyunjin also smiled, she felt kind of weak, her head was a mess from all the things she did last night she felt like an apology wasn't enough.
She got discharged and as soon as they left the hospital they were headed to Heejin's house. Hyunjin was really confused because she was living with Ryujin... Ryujin?! Where the hell was her?.
Her thoughts were interrupted by Heejin calling her name.
When Hyunjin stepped on the house all the memories flooded her brain, as if everything had happened only a few days ago. The wonderful vanilla scent, the sofas, the tv, the paintings. She didn't realize when Heejin was talking to her waiting for her to go upstairs.
Hyunjin hesitated, if she was going to stay in Heejin's room she'd rather sleep on the couch or the guests room because it brings back memories she did not want to have in her mind.
—If you're worried about my room we're not going there, it's something I want to show you.
Hyunjin trusted Heejin and she went upstairs with her, she wasn't sure about it something in her chest told her it was going to be emotive. This house in general was very bad for Hyunjin, she could see how the old garden wasn't there anymore, the sofas were arranged differently... she could see how Heejin also tried to forget her as much as she could but in the end everything came back full circle.
They ended up meeting each other.
Hyunjin followed Heejin through the very familiar hallway, this place was exactly the same. Suddenly Heejin called her when she opened the last door on the right, she felt her chest became tight. She remembers that door.
There was no turning back now, she couldn't escape anymore.
With ready steps she walked to the door of the room that contained a story. Heejin and Hyunjin's story.
When she stood on the doorframe, she got her head up and what she saw wasn't what she remembered.
This was a storage room.
—We need to talk, Hyunjin.
