Heejin didn't know what was going on nor why she agreed to go to a club with her co worker. She hated loud and crowded places, she literally felt out of herself when she entered the establishment, of course she was an adult but she was close to her thirties so she thought it didn't suit her.
She had put minimal makeup on, only a strong red lipstick and mascara. Her friends had helped her pick the tight and short sleeveless beige dress that complimented her slim figure, she didn't like to wear heels but she agreed as it wouldn't look appealing if she wore converse. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail since it was a hairstyle she didn't wear everyday.
Sooyoung had picked her up in her black Mercedes from her house, Heejin took a deep breath because this night was surely going to be something she'd want to forget.
Even with heels, Sooyoung was taller than her. Heejin always thought she'd suit to be a runway model but for some strange reason Yves always opted to work behind the scenes.
As they were on their way Sooyoung turned on the radio and the slow songs calmed Heejin a little bit, she closed her eyes and sighed. It's been a long day, she thought.
Yves noticed this and on a red light she put her hand on Heejin's leg, which made the brunette jump and took it off of herself.
—Don't do that! —Heejin was surprised.
—Sorry I thought you needed comfort. You must be stressed and I know, your legs and neck are very tensed, is something the matter? —Yves asked softly.
—Actually, there's many things going on. I don't want to talk about it now. —Heejin looked out the window avoiding Yves' eyes.
—Fine... Let's enjoy tonight okay? No need to think of anything.
The engine started and Heejin couldn't contain her tears, she didn't care if her makeup was ruined, she's already ruined someone's life and that's even worse, she can't forget the look of Hyunjin's face when she screamed at her it was something Heejin won't forgive herself from causing it to Hyunjin, she shouldn't have contacted her.
Because she hurts Hyunjin. And that's a fact she needs to get on her head.
Hyunjin was surprisingly in her element, it's been two hours since Ryujin, Yeji and her came to the club, they were already dancing and drinking a lot. The only one sane was Yeji she's only had two glasses of beer and a few cocktails, she wasn't in the mood for dancing so she stayed on the counter.
Ryujin and Hyunjin had enough drinks to be as tipsy as a human being can get. They were dancing as if their life depended on it, at one point they started to grind on each other and people hyped them up. Yeji could only look away and sigh for the fourth time that night. If she had enough courage she would confess she feels things for Ryujin but it's not the moment, she didn't even know if the blue haired girl liked her back.
She banged her head on the counter when two hands touched her shoulders. Ryujin and Hyunjin had finished their dance and came to drink more.
—Guys I think you shouldn't drink anymore, especially you Ryujin, you don't have high alcohol tolerance. —Yeji was concerned but Ryujin just laughed.
—Aww look who's taking care of me, you're the driver so you stay sober. —Hyunjin laughed at Ryujin's comment even though she couldn't hear a thing.
Hyunjin had gulped down many vodka shots and she wasn't stopping anytime soon until she forgets Jeon Heejin. She was so dizzy that she thought she had an hallucination when she saw that woman walking past her and the worst thing is that she was with some other girl.
She can replace me that fast, fuck her.
Hyunjin didn't pay much attention to the couple because she ordered drink after drink.
Heejin and Sooyoung were sitting down in the counter too, a few seats away from Hyunjin. Heejin had noticed her the moment she stepped in but she chose not to keep her focus on her otherwise it would become obvious.
Sooyoung was very talkative, Heejin just listened, the loud noise made some words incomprehensible but she tried to keep up with it. Sometimes Heejin would turn around and look over to Hyunjin, drinking until she could no more, she wondered if it was her fault that she was drinking like that.
—Heejin? Hey Heejin! —Sooyoung called for her.
—Ah! Yeah, what is it? —Heejin turned her attention to the tall woman.
—You're very distracted... I was saying I broke up with my girlfriend very recently. —Yves said looking at her empty glass.
—I'm so sorry, I never expected you to go through that. —Heejin said.
—Nobody does, I appear very tough but in reality I have feelings just like every other human. I heard that you had gone through a divorce so I wanted to cheer you up a little.
Heejin's eyes went wide open when she said that. Her little smile was directed towards the glass she seemed to still be sad about the break up but she tried to smile for Heejin.
—Thank you, It was really weird when you told me you liked me out of nowhere. I'm glad we can share this time together. —Heejin smiles.
—You wouldn't have accepted otherwise... and um... you're cute. —Yves got a little red which made Heejin laugh.
Both of them looked at each other and laughed together, they clinked their glasses together when it was refilled. Cheering for new beginnings.
Heejin was getting more comfortable with Yves and the drinks weren't kicking in so fast, she made her feel a bit better.
—Life goes on, we can't just stand her drowning in our regrets... that's because I wanted to talk to you. —Sooyoung spoke.
—I know, I just wish I could've done better at certain moments in my life...
Heejin couldn't finish her sentence because she saw Hyunjin desperately kissing her blue haired friend in the dance floor right before her eyes.
