Both of them went downstairs and Hyunjin helped Heejin washing the dishes they used for eating, Heejin insisted that she should not worry about it and go home but the younger was used to this, she's been doing it since her mom became sick.

When they finished Hyunjin told her she'd be going back home, they stayed at the entrance saying their goodbyes especially when Heejin told her that she'd be going to the doctor tomorrow to start the process of the embryo and the redhead would have to wait a for at least a day until the embryo is ready, the older noticed how nervous she was about all of that stuff and grabbed her chin making her look up to her sparkly dark brown orbs "You're going to be okay because I'm here with you."

Hyunjin couldn't help but to blush and bow rapidly saying thank you and goodbye. It made Heejin laugh.

When Hyunjin arrived home she heard strange noises coming from her mom's room, she slowly called her name but there was no answer... She started freaking out and ran to where her mom was supposed to be, she opened the door and found out there was blood stains in the bed and floor. She went to the bathroom and found her sitting in the bathtub all pale and moaned from pain.

—Mom! What's wrong what happened?! Oh my God, When?

She didn't know want to do, she wanted to cry to scream but listening to her mom agonizing made her call emergencies. She desperately told them what was going on and they told her the ambulance would be there in no time. She hung up but she stated panicking and the only reaction she had was to dial Heejin's number.

Heejin answered to a very desperate short of breath Hyunjin that was pleading for help she cried frantically almost yelled at Heejin that she needed her to be there, Heejin grabbed her her things and drove her car to Hyunjin's address as fast as she could.

By the time Heejin arrived the ambulance was there and Hyunjin sat down in the side of the road with an oxigen mask.

Heejin was about to freak out when Hyunjin looked at her and hugged her saying she was glad she came.

"They will take my mom to the hospital... please drive me there."

Heejin couldn't say no after all that happened in the span of 40 minutes since she left her house, in the car Hyunjin was lost in the sight outside of the window, the brunette let her bi since she must still be in shock. How? How could a girl like this go through something so traumatic? She didn't deserve it.

At the hospital both of them waited hours for the doctor to give her an update. Hyunjin rested her head on Heejin for hours and hours, te older occasionally stood up and brought her water or something from the cafeteria. It was currently 10PM and no update from her mother, until as a miracle the doctor appeared, Hyunjin stood up and ran to him asking how her mother was.

Heejin followed behind and heard the words that broke Hyunjin completely.

—Your mother has stomach cancer. —the doctor simples said.

—Can she die from it? —Hyunjin asked desperately.

—No, with surgery and chemotherapy she'll be fine. The risks of dying will decrease and as you may know she might live longer. —Hyunjin was not having it, she started crying once again how? How can she afford so much?

—I don't have money to pay that doctor please, isn't there any other-

—I'll pay for her treatment. —Heejin firmly said looking directly at the doctor and then at Hyunjin, giving her a comforting smile and a pat on her head.

—No, No Heejin, you don't have to do this, please!

—But I want to, it's your mom and you surely want her to be okay, am I wrong?

She certainly wasn't wrong, even though her mother despised her she still loved her no matter what. When the doctor left Hyunjin bowed ninety degrees to Heejin. What would she do without her...

Hyunjin planned to stay in the hospital because she didn't have classes the next day but the older wanted her to go home because her mom will be okay and she needed to rest, the redhead accepted to go with Heejin.

As the way home was more relaxed than a few hours ago Heejin started a light hearted conversation, Hyunjin smiled and also talked wih her, the plan of making her less worried so she could sleep at night worked out until they ran out of things to talk about... And silence filled the car and Hyunjin thought of telling heejin about her insecurity about her being a virgin but as soon as she looked at the older's side profile her mind went blank.

"Hey, don't think i'm doing this because you will carry my baby. You're a very strong woman and I really like you so don't think about it too much."

Heejin said.
