"Welcome to a new year students!" A man in a rather fancy suit appeared on stage. "It's so good to see all of your glittering faces again. Now, down to business. Your schedules will be sent out tonight, and all classes will be held tomorrow. Be sure to have good attendance, and good behaviors."
Jungkook smirked. Even he knew his behavior was never up to par. But that wasn't his problem.
"Before our esteemed principal makes her speech, is like to announce the class presidents of this year."
The freshmen were the only ones who didn't get a class president, only just meeting each other. They would get to pick theirs later. Now, we didn't care much about the other class presidents, but there was one specifically Jungkook had taken in mind.
"Namjoon! The class president for the sophomores!" The boy was rather tall. Jungkook could tell that he was a bit taller than him. The boy wore round glasses, and had brown hair. He had heard of Namjoon. His family was popular, being Belle and the Beast from Beauty and the Beast. Their story was one of the most popular ones.
"Thank you! It's nice to see all of my classmates again after an enjoyable summer. All I wanted to say was, I hope everyone has a great year and let's do our best and reach for the sky sophomores!" At that, Namjoon waltzed off the stage, and the next two presidents were announced. Boring people, at least to Jungkook. No one really caught his eye.
Then, students were allowed to stand up onstage and present ideas to the students and staff for any events or things they wanted to try for the year. The students were excited about this.
"Do you think they do this every year? That's so cool!" There he was again, chatterbox Jimin, but it didn't occur much to Jungkook, now that Taehyung was here with them.Finally.
Jungkook thought.A few people came up to the stage, some actually giving ideas, or some simply just saying something stupid. One Junior, with the name of Seokjin, stood in the stage too. The idea being rather, strange.
"The flowers in the school garden should all be red roses. Red symbolizes power. We are the top school for fairytale stories." He said into the mic. Students laughed, but none were confused. That was Seokjin, a student almost everyone knew, due to his mother being the Queen of Hearts, and his friendly and outgoing attitude. Teachers beckoned him offstage before he could suggest any more, knowing it could go on for hours.
Next, a sophomore. "Uh. We should totally have a school dance competition or something by the end of the year. Or at least something interesting like that." Jungkook rolled his eyes. He was never particularly interested in school dances, or competitions of any sort. Maybe he was just too good at them.
"That's Hoseok, son of Ariel." Jimin says, tapping Jungkook's arm. "He's the lead dancer of the dance club in school. I'm gonna try out for it, you should too."
Well this surprised him. Jimin didn't seem like much of the dancer to him. He seemed... well. He didn't seem like anything to him other than a Prince Charming from a fairytale.
"Why in the fairytale would I do that?" Jungkook complains, pushing Jimin's hand away.
"I don't know, you just seem like someone who'd be good at dancing. Are you Kookie?" Jimin asked, scooting closer to the boy.
"Can you stop with that nickname? And I don't know. I danced a bit in middle school but I haven't done it much since."
Jungkook was a good dancer. This piece of information was not wrong. But the idea of him seeing Jimin in a club room multiple times a week made his head hurt. He promised his dad that he'd join a few clubs, but this one he would have to think about a bit more.
More and more students made their way up on stage, babbling on and on about nothing in importance. Jimin and Taehyung we're back to talking and giggling to each other as usual, and Jungkook felt at peace again.
After more suggestions, the line stopped, and the last speaker made her way on stage. Fairy Godmother, the headmaster of the school.
"It's so nice to see all of you students after a long summer. I hope everyone will enjoy the year, and make good choices!" With that, she had went off the stage.
There was something eerie about the principal. Something just seemed off to Jungkook, Jimin and Taehyung. But the thought quickly brushed off of their minds when the next even was announced.
