"Chris texted me that he's coming over later."

Ali looked up from her coffee and nodded her head. Becky could see the concern laced on Ali's face. Becky looked at Ali, expectant. Waiting for her to comment. Tapping her foot with her arms crossed Ali sighs.

"What if Joel comes over again and catches you with Chris?" she blurts out.

Becky rolls her eyes, "There is no catching me with Chris. Chris and I are friends! I haven't seen Joel since I told him I slept with Chris."

"Yeah friends who had sex!" Ali justifies, "I think Joel will make an appearance soon."

"What do you mean?"

"I know what he did was fucked! Trust me I know but I think he is in love with you. He's the type to fight for who he loves."

"You didn't see his face when he found out about me and Chris. He won't be coming around here." Becky retorts but she isn't sure she believes the words coming out of her mouth.

Sure she hadn't seen Joel in a week but he has texted her everyday. She just didn't want to believe that she would have to face him again. Every time she saw a photo of them on her phone, her heart broke. Even talking to Chris was sometimes a reminder of what had happened. She couldn't let the drama between her and Joel affect her friendship with the rest of the boys. They had done so much for her. Joel was her boyfriend, he should have been the one to end the bet as soon as they had become serious. Well at least that's what she thought.

"You're asking for trouble Becky." Ali scolds like a mother.

"None of this is my fault!" Becky fights back, "I didn't start this! Joel started this and deserves whatever the fuck he feels." Tears start to form and she quickly wipes them.

"I'm sorry. You know I didn't mean it like this was your fault."

Becky turns away afraid that if she continues to talk, more tears will shed from her eyes. She checks her phone and sees her daily message from Joel, making her tears fall instantly.

'Thinking of you, I miss you.'

Her heart breaks but she grows angry instead. Joel started all of this and here she was with tears falling without the ability to hold them back. Here he was making it harder for her to move on. Every day he texted her and it made her ability to move past this so much more difficult. Becky called Chris. He was the only person who was helping distract her.

"Hey Mami." He answered cheerfully as always.

"Chris can you just come now?" She whimpered out.

Chris and her had decided that he would come over after lunch. Becky knew Ali was right and was waiting for the moment Joel would show up.

"Beck," he sighed, "what's going on?"

"I just need a distraction. I can't handle this anymore. It hurts." She sobs out.

"You need me?"

"Y-yes."

"I'm on my way."

Just like that Chris drives to her house. On his way he decides to buy flowers in hopes of cheering her up.

"Do you want a card for the flowers?"

"Yeah."

Chris takes a pen and writes Becky a note.

'Just to make you smile beautiful. I love you.

- Chris'

Chris knocked on the door, flowers in his hands and a bright smile on his face. Becky opened the door within a few seconds excited to see him. In the last week Chris and Becky had hung out almost every day. Hanging out with Chris usually involved laughing, eating and a slight amount of flirting. Especially after their sexual encounter. Chris would poke her ass and when Becky would scold him he would shrug and say "Come on. I've done more with you than touch your ass." It was all a big joke and usually just an attempt to make her smile.
