Roger found himself staring at a bunch of trees. Brian was right behind him; the blonde examined the whole area, but, there was not even a shadow of the other two guys. The stunning view he was facing was formed of an enormous woods coloured in blue; he had never seen blue vegetation. He thought it was because of the new dimension. Simply astonished by the landscape, (so, amazed by some cerulean flowers, but ok) his focus was taken brought back by Brian's concerned voice.
"The heck... Have you seen John and Fred?"
As the curly-haired questioned him, he shooked his head.
"Maybe Fred and John are just hiding..."
The youngest muttered rolling his eyes.
"This is beautiful... How the fuck will we find them!?"
Roger scrolled his shoulders while the latter had his face in his hands.
"Let's go then; we'll never find those troublemakers if we sit on our hands."
He said while stepping further and further in the strange woods.
"Wait for me, Rog!"
The other one exclaimed, hurrying behind the youngest.
Meanwhile, Freddie and John were at the completely opposite side of the forest. The oldest, kneeled, was observing a little violet animal.
"Is this supposed to be an alien cat?"
Intrigued by his mate's affirmation, John turned himself to detect what was Freddie focused on. The clumsy thing which looked like a little feline stretched itself before getting up; it woke up completely and stared at the boys with pleading eyes. It had got huge cerulean eyeballs while its black pupils were wide open. It was sitting beneath a tall blue pine tree.
"Aw, it is so cute, Deaky! Can we keep it?"
"Are you joking? Of course no..."
Freddie's puppy eyes could be irresistible sometimes...
"Tell me you're not serious at all, Fred."
The younger muttered. The black-haired guy stood up fierce, holding the alien-cat.
"I'm 18 years old so, since I'm the older here, we'll keep it anyway."
John raised an eyebrow.
"Really?"
An imperious tone couldn't be neglected by Freddie.
"Oh, please, Deaky!"
"Keep that thing away from me..."
"Thank you!"
The older, who now looked more like a spoiled child, was jumping around in bliss.
"Let's go search for the scientist and that drummer!"
Deaky nodded his head, then he sighed out:
"Of course..."
The two of them began to pace in the thick woodland; they were surrounded by mysterious creatures and weird trees and flowers. The violet alien-cat was sleeping soundly in Freddie's arms; his fur was kind of soft, but, he had some little spikes on his spine. They weren't sharp; indeed, they were smooth. Unluckily, the two guys didn't know that they weren't going to meet Brian and Roger yet. They were exactly walking in the opposite direction.
The guitarist and the drummer had been walking for what looked like hours before they reached a stream; it was the perfect place where they could take stock of the situation.
"Do you think we can drink that water?"
They hadn't got food with them since it was all in John's sack; they were starving, but nothing in that forest was safe to eat.
"I should have thought of such a situation... See? I should have come alone!"
He blamed himself for letting his friends follow him; though, it wasn't all his fault considering that the others would have come anyway.
"We should find something to eat..."
"In this forest nothing is edible..."
"Weren't you supposed to study alien vegetation or something like this?"
"What the fuck should I know of this dimension? I don't neither know where we are actually!"
"I should have something in my sack..."
Roger shoved his hands in his bag to find something like food; he had some chocolate.
"This is all I have, Brian."
The other one raised an eyebrow. The blonde guy divided the bar into two pieces so as to give one to Brian and keep one for himself.
"Here."
He handed a piece to the other one, and then, he sat at the river's edge. The water was scenting the air with a flowery fragrance which was pleasing his sense. He raised his head to enjoy the view; the sky had a rosy colour, wallpapered with blue clouds which looked more like coloured cotton candy. Brian was daydreaming by staring at that blonde guy; even in that situation, the younger made him fly. Roger turned around for his sight to be greeted by two lost hazel eyes. He stared at them for a few minutes before turning himself a second time to hide his blushing face. Brian shook his head to bring himself back at reality; he cleared his throat.
"We should come back to our research."
Roger suddenly sat up.
"Let's go."
He exclaimed while slinging his sack over his shoulders.
"John, darling, is there something to eat in that bag of yours?"
"I'm giving you anything because you've been a bad guy."
John said jokingly.
"Stop kidding, I'm starving."
The other one chuckled.
"We should stop somewhere before."
"Beneath that tree sounds good to you?"
John blushed slightly: he thought it would have been kind of romantic. He tried to shook that idea away, but his cheeks turned out to be duper red when he saw Freddie sitting and patting the space next to him.
"You're all red; are you ok, Deaky?"
"It's just a little bit hot..."
He informed, staring at the ground.
"Well, then, are you waiting for me to die of hunger, dear?"
The older said, eager to swallow some food. As he was told, Deaky sat next to Freddie; too close for him. He took out the sack some crackers.
"Only crackers? I told you I'm starving, darling..."
"It doesn't feel right for us to eat too much when the others don't have anything edible."
Freddie snorted.
"Fred, if you don't want to eat, I'll have your crackers too."
The black-haired guy tore from Deaky's grasp a pack of crackers.
"I'll gladly eat them, thank you."
