C H A P T E R - X X I

"Dear are you still there?"

"Yes, yes po tita papunta na po ako agad dyan" i grab all my scattered clothes on the floor. Mason is still sleep and I don't have any intention of waking him up.

I open the door silently and get out successfully.

"Marga" i flinch when someone called my name, i look at where the voice is coming from.

It's marco "marco, ha-hi good morning".

"Leaving so soon, let's have lunch pasado alas onse na" he giggles.

"Nagising na kasi si jason so I'm in a rush. Next time na lang pwede, bye" i wave my hands and walk away from him.

"Regards to jason, ingat ka!" He shouted from the other end of the corridor. I grab the first taxi my eyes laid into.

"Kuya madoc po" with that kuya hit the gas and rush to the hospital.

My heart started beating heavily, my palm start sweating and my guilt start shaking. No, I'm shaking. I feel like my feet are above the ground and i am just floating in to the edge to the of a cliff.

I reach jasons door knob with my shaking hands. I take a deep breath and push it forward. All eyes on me tito, tita, the hospital personnels and jason.

The moment my eyes landed on jason he instantly smile at me, with his smile tears started rushing out of my eyes. I run to him crying.

I hug him sobbing " i thought I'm gonna lose you" he pat me on the back.

"Ikakasal pa tayo diba" he uttered with his weak voice. I let him out of my hug and look at his frail complexion. I hold his hand.

"How long was i out cold?" I look at tito and tita.

"Just few weeks lang naman mijo" tita sit on the other side of the bed. The door open and we look at its direction. Enter mason physics.

"brother!" He shouted. He run to jason to give him a hug.

I can see that jason is genuinely happy to see his brother. "Kailan ka pa dito?" He ask.

"Soon as I heard about the incident i come running home, ikaw pa ba?, Lakas mo sakin" he put a weak punch on jasons arm.

It was a warm reunion of the cruz family including me . On the middle of the conversation jason drop a bomb.

"Is the driver got caught?" We all look at each other in full silence.

"The police already conduct for a search and investigation procedure about the guy" sagot ni tito.

"So, nakatakas sya?"

"Mijo, siguro wag mo na munang isipin ang mga bagay na yan. Mag pagaling ka muna" singit ni tita.

"Don't worry kuya I'll personally look unto it. I'll make sure to who ever did this to is going to pay" mason started punching his other hand.

Jason shake his head objecting "no need to be violent mason just do what the law said about him".

"So does this mean tuloy na tuloy na ang kasal" tita exclaimed and directly look at the doctor.

"Well luckily walang major fracture kay mr. Cruz.  In few weeks makakarecover na sya agad and as long as kaya nya nang lumakad sa aisle then wala nang rason para di matuloy ang kasal." I look at jason and he is already looking at me with a smile.
