Chapter 1 Breaking Point

McKenzy Erin Carter is 17 years old, 5 foot 1, 115 lbs, with full brown eyes. She is the only child living with her mother and they have a very close relationship. Her father and mother were divorced. McKenzie and her father had a close relationship. Her father since had gotten remarried to a nice women named Tracey. McKenzie seemed to have it all. Nice home, a brand new car, a great best friend Jace. Jace was 5 foot 1, brown skin, long hair, and big brown eyes. Jace and McKenzie have been click tight since elementary school. They were like the sister each other never had. Jace had an older brother Javy he was 20 years old in college playing football.

McKenzie had been dating Shawn for 2 years and she was in love. He was the perfect boyfriend in her eyes. He always made sure she was okay and made her feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Shawn was 6 foot 3, brown skin, with the pretty hazel eyes. All the girls would flock over him, but he only had eyes for McKenzie or that's what she thought.

McKenzie woke up at 6 o'clock to get ready for school. She took a shower, did her hygiene thing, brushed her teeth, and washed her face. She got dressed in a pair of light skinny jeans, a white polo shirt, and her tan Sperrys. She went downstairs to greet her mother who was drinking coffee and eating breakfast.

" Good morning mommy" I said as I fixed a plate of bacon, eggs, and toast.

" Good morning honey" she said sipping her coffee.

" How did you sleep last night" I asked her starting conversation to waste time before I had to leave for school.

" I slept fine bunny" she said calling me by my nickname as always.

" I slept amazing last night especially after all that homework and reading I had to do" I said earning a chuckle from my mom.

" Well I hope you keep those grades up and stay away from that boy" I rolled my eyes at her. My mom and Shawn got along, but my mom felt like he wasn't giving his all in the relationship.

" Well I gotta go before I'm late see you later mommy" I kissed her cheek and put my dishes away and went outside to see Shawn waiting in the driveway like he did every morning. I got in the car , smiled, and kissed him on the lips.

" Good morning Ken" he said I hated when he called me Ken but I just shrugged it off as always.

" Good morning baby did you finish that Chemistry work last night you know he checking" I said and he shook his head yes while stopping at the stop sign.

" Baby I need to talk to you bout something" he said.

I rolled my eyes because I already knew what he was about to say. Shawn wasn't a virgin but I was. We had been together for 2 years but we agreed to wait til I was ready and I still wasn't. He would ask me if I was ready almost every 2 weeks at this pont and I would always say no.

" Baby do you love me" he said looking in my eyes.

" Of course I do baby" I said watching the time tick away.

" Don't you think its time that we take that next step in our relationship" he said trying to butter me up.

" Baby I'm just not ready for sex yet" I said rolling my eyes in my head.

" Ken you act like you can't trust me or something" he said. He always tried to make me feel guilty for saying no. I just wasn't ready and he couldn't understand that and tbh I was sick of him asking and pressuring me.

" Don't even try to act like that. You know I trust you and love you with all my heart, but I don't think you understand that I'm not ready for that next step yet. And I'm getting tired of you asking me all the time. When I get ready I'll be sure to let you know" I said getting upset that he was ruining my mood this early in the morning.
