Hermione

Waking up in a room that wasn't Cortez's kind of freaked me out. I was at least in bed with my clothes I brought and my dress was folded up sitting on a chair in the bedroom with my stilettos beside the chair. Looking on the nightstand beside me I seen my fake lashes in a ziplock bag. Awe whoever did that was the sweetest person alive. I got up and opened the bedroom door realizing I was in Cortez's house but that wasn't Cortez's room. Walking into the kitchen the Díaz's were sitting at the table talking. "Good morning sleeping beast." Cortez laughed as he spoke. Scrunching up my face made Mr. Díaz laugh too. Wow that laugh is so fine. "Why would you call me that?" I asked sitting down and making a bowl of cereal, cereal first then milk cause the other way around is weird.

"I tried to wake you up this morning and you growled at me." Cortez laughed as my face turned red as a cherry. "I did?" Mr. Díaz nodded at me with a light chuckle. Huffing I decided to just shut up and eat my breakfast. "Wait a minute. Who's room did I sleep in cause it wasn't yours." I pointed at Tez with my spoon. "Mine. He was already spread out like a starfish and I couldn't wake him up. I carried you into the bathroom so you could change and took you to my room." Mr. Díaz spoke. "I am so so so sorry. Was I completely trashed?" He shook his head no. "You were complaining that your heels where hurting your feet so I just carried you." He shrugged like it was no big deal. I felt so embarrassed.

After breakfast we all sat in the living room talking about last night. "The last thing I remember was dancing to After Party and that's about it." I wasn't going to mention staring at Mr. Díaz like he was a tall glass of water and I was thirsting to death. "The last thing I remember was talking to Tio about some girl he liked." Cortez laughed. "He was talking about Angel. She's one fine ass hyna." Mr. Díaz spoke up. My stomach rose up to my throat, I was kinda sad Mr. Díaz thought a girl was pretty. I mean he's not my man but it kinda hurt. "Why don't you go for her dad?" Tez asked as he stood up walking to the kitchen to get a drink. "I got my eye on someone else." He smirked before standing up and walking to the door. "I gotta handle some Santos business. Hermione, your always welcome here. No need to knock just come in whenever you'd like. This is your home now." He smiled at me and I returned the gesture before he walked out.

Tez and I hung out for a while til I decided to head home. After I got to my house, I started my laundry. Pulling out the dirty clothes from spending the night with Cortez I realized I had left my dress and shoes in Mr. Díaz's room. "Shit, I'll go pick them up tomorrow." I had a problem with talking to myself sometimes. After spending some time with Abuelita I decided to head to bed.

As soon as 9:00am struck I got dressed in a pair of baggy gray sweatpants, a black halter top, and a pair of black and white Nike Cortez's. After I left Abuelita a note that I was going to Cortez's house to get the stuff I left there and I'd be home later. Walking to the Díaz house made me a little nervous but Mr. Díaz said it was my house too so I guess it's whatever now. As soon as I got there Tito was sitting outside lifting weights talking to a girl. I'm guessing that is Angel. "Wassup Hermione?" He asked as I walked up to him. "Sup, I left some clothes here last night. I just came to get them." He nodded and went back to talking to the girl. Walking into the house I could smell weed and cigarette smoke.

I went to Mr. Díaz's door knocking because I didn't want to be rude. A few seconds passed and the door opened revealing a shirtless Mr. Díaz smiling at me. "I l-left my stuff here yesterday." He nodded opening the door for me to come inside. I hated myself for stuttering again. Walking in my heart was pounding so hard I was sure he could hear it too. "So where's Tez?" I tried making conversation as I grabbed my things. "He's at work." I nodded turning around. Still no shirt and thank god for that. "Thank you for saving my lashes, they were so expensive." He chuckled at me as I held them up. "I don't see why you wear them. You don't need them. You look good without all that shit on your face." Oh Dios mío, here it comes the red face.

"Thank you, you don't look to bad yourself, for an old man." I giggled at his shocked face. "I'm not old. I'm only 32. What are you, like 14?" He asked making me actually laugh. "No I'm 17. A whole 6 months older than your son." He nodded. "When's your birthday Mione?" He asked sitting on his bed patting the spot beside him. I sat down as well. "October 31st." His eyes got about the size of quarters when I said that. "We have the same birthday." He spoke with a smirk. Oooo keep smirking at me like that and I swear to Dios I will jump your bones! Clearing my throat I smiled. "That's what's up. Oh I meant to ask can I stay tonight when Tez gets off?" He nodded his head yes and I couldn't help but hug him. "Thank you Mr. Díaz." His arms snake around my waist hugging me back. "You can call me Oscar if you'd like. Mr. Díaz makes me feel too old." I giggled nodding at him.
