Hermione and my dad have gotten a lot closer, which I was happy about. He refuses to let her walk around the neighborhood alone now and always takes her to go to the store. I feel like my dad and Tio have both taken a real liking to Hermione. I'm glad my family likes her so much. If I'm honest I think my dad likes her a lot more since the whole Luca thing. He's been there for her non stop. He even gave her his phone number and told her to call if she ever needed anything. He also said she can stay here whenever she wants and she doesn't have to ask ever again.

Tio keeps an eye out for her all the time now. He talks to her every time he sees her. He gives her rides to school and back to her house now. He told me that he saw her running towards our house after Luca did those things to her. He was so upset when it happened that he cried when he told me how she looked. Apparently she had black makeup smeared down her cheeks and her clothes where ripped up, almost falling off of her, and her hair looked horrible, like someone had yanked her by her hair a lot. It was sad to hear that something so bad happened to my best friend. I couldn't get to her fast enough when Tio called me that night.

I feel bad that I have to leave her again for work but I need this job. I hate having to leave her at my house but I have to go. Truth is, I need this job because I wanted to get her something really nice for our five year friend anniversary. It's a big milestone for us. Every year that we are friends is special. In Freeridge people die everyday, even innocent teenagers. So we like to celebrate each year we have together.

Hermione

I have been surrounding myself with the Díaz family and Los Santos since Luca happened. I didn't feel safe walking to Tez's house anymore. I didn't even feel safe in my own home anymore. If I heard a car door slam or an engine roar too loudly I felt like I was going to have a heart attack. Tez kept me calm at school but sometimes it wasn't enough. I called Oscar every day durning my free period. He would drive to the school and I'd sit in his car so I knew I was safe. He never once complained or missed my calls.

Today felt different though. As I walked down the hallways of the school before class I could feel the nerves rise, making my insides jerk. I didn't know what it was but something felt off. As the bell rang for first period to end I grabbed my bag and walked out of the classroom. In the halls people stared at me but never said a word. Looking around at all the students I spotted colors that I shouldn't have. Olive green and golden yellow could be seen all throughout the hallways. Turning the corner all I could do was freak out.

Finally I made it into the girls bathroom and locked the door. Pulling out my phone I made the only two calls I knew I should. One to Tez and one to Oscar. Tez stayed in his classroom until the bell rang and I hid in the bathrooms. Oscar told us he was on the way to come get us and lay low. I heard a soft bang to the bathroom door making me jump. "Mione, open the door and come on." Tez's voice calmed me down. We walked out of the school and into the parking lot to Oscar's red Impala.

Getting in he drove away from the school and I felt myself physically relax the further we drove away. "What happened?" Oscar asked as we made our way down the street. "I was walking in the halls and I started noticing Prophets colors popping up everywhere I looked. I panicked and hid in the bathroom. I called you both so you would know what was going on." Oscar's knuckles turned white as he gripped the steering wheel tighter and tighter with every word I spoke.

"Pinche Prophets hired Luca to rape you and now their flashing their colors at your school. Their doing this because they know your mi familia" Oscar spoke through gritted teeth. As we pulled up to my house there was a green prophets tag spray painted on my front door. "THAT'S IT!" Oscar yelled slamming his hand on the steering wheel. "Does your Abuelita have somewhere she can go for a little while?" He asked me.

"She has a friend who lives in Brentwood. She's been asking Abuelita to come stay for a few weeks but she keeps putting it off because of me being home alone." I told him. He nodded his head at me. "Tell her to go stay in Brentwood for a little while. When you've convinced her pack your shit. Call me when it's done. Your coming to live with me until I know you and your Abuelita are safe. The prophets have put a target on you now." He told me. I was so scared now. I nodded before running into my house.

I ended up getting most of the spray paint off the door before Abuelita got home. When she walked in I immediately ambushed her. "We need to talk like right now." She nodded going to sit in the kitchen with me. "What is this all about mija?" She seemed worried. "Look you need to go stay in Brentwood with that friend of yours for a few weeks." And now she looked confused. "I can't because there is no room for the both of us." She explained. "Tez's dad said I could stay with them for a few weeks while your gone. They even have a spare room just for me." I hated lying about the spare room but it needed to be done. She finally agreed and called her friend. She was leaving Wednesday morning and I was going to pack my stuff after she left. I didn't want her to know what I really had planned.
