Hermione
As I sat in class taking notes on world war 2 my phone vibrated on my desk. Looking over I seen a text from Oscar.
Oscar
Is Tez at school?
Yes, he's right beside me.
As soon as you both
get out of class go to
the back gate. Run
and don't stop and
don't turn around.
If there's anyone in
the school you care
for tell them to leave
as soon as class is over.Oscar what's going on?
Prophets are coming.
Their going to shoot
up the school. Please
be careful. I love you
both.We love you too.
With that I jumped up out of my seat with 20 minutes left in school. All the kids in class turned to look at me. I made sure no prophets were in my class before speaking. "Get your shit and leave now. Prophets are coming to shoot up the school. Run, go now!" I yelled as I walked towards the door. "Tez, your dad said to meet him outside at the back gate after class but I need your help." He shot out of his chair grabbing his things walking with me out the door. "I'll take upstairs you take the down. Run to every classroom and tell them. Hurry, after I'm done I'm going to tell the principle." I spoke running up the stairs.
I ran from class to class telling everyone to leave now. Teachers packed their things and kids ran from the rooms and down to the first floor. As soon as every classroom was told I yelled in the bathrooms and teachers lounges before running down the stairs and to the front office. "Don't open the doors for anyone. Keep the door locked and leave now. Prophets are coming to wet the place up. Where's the principle!" The front desk lady pointed me in the direction. I bursted through the door startling the man sitting there. "May I help you?" He seemed like he had no clue what was going on.
"Make an announcement. The Prophets are coming and to leave. Their going to wet the place up! Do it and do it now or innocent children will die!" I yelled making him stand and grab the intercom system. "This is your principle speaking. The kings are in court, I repeat, The Kings are in court." He spoke calmly before grabbing his things. "Did you do it?" He nodded his head vigorously. "Kings in court means Prophet shooting. Saints in court means Santos shooting." I nodded before looking at my phone. I have five minutes to spare. "Have you used saints in court before?" He shook his head.
"No the Santos are not like the Prophets. They've never caused this public school any issues. The Prophets are who you have to watch out for. What is your name?" He asked looking up at me as I reached for the door. "Hermione Cruze." He looked at me one last time as I ran out the door and took off towards the back gate. I was only twenty feet from the gate when I heard gun shots and people screaming bloody murder. My heart was beating faster with every second that ticked by. It was like the clock from the show The First 48. I was so scared at this point.
I could hear the window glass hitting the ground, more screaming, and bullets flying. "Hermione! Baby run!" I looked up seeing Oscar's car. Oscar and Tez watched in horror as I ran for my life. I ran as hard as I could. My fingers finally touched the handle of the door and I jumped into the car. As soon as the door closed the car screeched it's tires as we sped away. Pulling up to Oscar's house felt like a relief. Getting out we walked into the house and there stood all of Los Santos. "Load up and get ready. We have a war on our hands. Make sure your familia stays inside tonight. Hermione come with me." We walked into his room and I immediately broke down.
I was panicking and Oscar could tell. "Okay breathe in and out. Smell the flowers and blow out the candles. Just relax Mione. It's going to be okay." Oscar coached me putting him hands on my shoulders and looking into my eyes. My breathing finally calmed down and I started to feel normal again. "What took you so long to get to the back gate?" I could tell he was upset that I didn't do exactly what I was told. "I ran around the school telling everyone to leave." A fire lit in his eyes. He looked so angry. "You could have been killed! What were you thinking!" I couldn't help but clap back at him. "I was trying to save innocent kids lives. I couldn't just let them die like that. Their blood would have been on my hands too. If you weren't in a gang and Cortez was killed by the Prophets, how would you feel? Wouldn't you hate the kids that left without letting the rest of the school know?" I could tell he was still angry but understood.
"Next time, don't put your life on the line for others. I get what you did but you can't do that again. Cortez can't lose you. I. I can't lose you Hermione." I sighed in understanding while nodding. "I'm sorry Oscar. I just couldn't leave without trying." I was only trying to help, I was glad he understood that. "Why did the Prophets shoot up the school anyways? What were they after?" I was actually wounding what was going on around here.
"They know Cortez is my son and he goes to Freeridge High. They've also seen you around here and they know how I feel about you. Their after Cortez and you, to make me suffer for what I did to one of their members." I understood now. "What did you do?" He sighed in frustration. Maybe I didn't need to know. "The guy you were dancing with the other night. He wasn't trying to get with you, he was planning to lead you back to prophet territory and put you on pimp lane. You don't want to know what happened to him." I felt so many different emotions. The prophets were after me. Oscar was trying to protect me. I didn't know if I should be happy or upset.
