Oscar
"I want everyone back here in thirty. Go dress up and be happy. It's her birthday and she needs all the love she can get right now." Los Santos nodded before riding off to do as they were told. I walked back into my bedroom and Hermione was in tears. "Hey, hey it's okay." I walked over to her grabbing her and holding her closely. "What happened?" I asked as she calmed down. She grabbed the paper and put it in my hands. I read everything he had wrote to her. That is exactly how I felt the day I was locked up. He done the same thing I had done to provide for my son. Seeing the yellow paper brought back so many memories for me. I wrote so many letter to my son but never sent them because I didn't want to hurt Tez like he just hurt Mione. I'm so glad I didn't send those letters now that I've seen what they did to someone else.
"What did I tell you to remember?" I asked as I laid down the letter and kissed her head. She nodded holding onto me tightly. "Thank you." She whispered into my chest. "No more tears. Remember what your papá said." She nodded before letting go and cleaning her face off then smiling at me. "Feel better?" She nodded and went to her drawer of my dresser. "Yep, now take that piece of paper and burn it. I don't want to read it ever again. I want to get dressed up for my birthday and not think about that man every again." I grabbed the paper as she pulled out a costume throwing it on the bed before shoving me out the door making me laugh.
Hermione
The party was in full swing and I was having a great time. Tez was in a football costume. I was catwoman with a whip and all. Oscar was dressed as an oldies gangster. Tito was dressed as a soccer player. Everyone else was all different things. I laughed seeing Oscar with a fedora and Tito's high rise shorts. "I love you Tito but I never want to see that much of your legs ever again after tonight." Oscar looked down and covered his eyes. "Dude your so white!" He laughed and Tito kissed his teeth. "At least I ain't scared to show my legs. The hyna's love it." He smirked. "What do they love exactly? You look like an uncooked chicken leg." I clapped back making Oscar tear up in laugher. "Ight I'll remember that next time you want a ride." He smacked the side of his thigh and walked off. "Ay Dios mio I never want to see that much of his skin ever again." Oscar spoke as his laughing died down while I nodded in agreement.
This party was so much fun. There was a whole table full of gifts for me to open and I was excited for that. "Aye, turn the music off. It's cake time!" Oscar yelled making the music cuff off and then he dragged me to the head of an empty table. "Tito do your thing!" Oscar yelled and Tito ran into the he house. I sat down in my ribbon wrapped chair and smiled at everyone. Tito came strutting out of the house with a large cake in his hands setting it in front of me. Oscar lit the number one and then the number eight. Tez was the first one to start singing to me. Everyone joined in after happy birthday. Tears filled my eyes as they finished. "Make a wish and blow out the candles Mione." Oscar whispered in my ear making me smile. I thought really hard for a second and then blew out the candles.
I started to cut the cake when I realized what it said. Happy Birthday Hermione Díaz! I was so confused but still cut it up handing out pieces. After a while the party started back up again. My song started to play and I got all excited. "May I have this dance?" Oscar asked holding out his hand to me. I nodded putting my hand in his and he took me to the dance floor. "I miss my coco butter kisses." I sang softly as we danced. "Who you been kissin on that tastes like coco butter?" I laughed at Oscar's questions. "No one. But you do taste like cigarettes, so close enough." I laughed as he shook his head at me. "Anyways, I noticed something was off about my cake though." He looked down at me with a raised eyebrow. "My last name isn't Díaz." He smiled and shook his head. "No it's not, but your a Díaz at heart." I smiled up at him. "I guess your right."
It was now gift time and people stood around watching me open their gifts. The chola's got me makeup. Most of the cholo's got me airbrushed t-shirts of low riders which I loved. "My turn." Tez smiled dropping a small box on my lap. I smiled up at him before opening it. I pulled out a cross looking at it. "Flip it over." I did as asked and I seen Díaz written in cursive on the back. "Tez thank you so much." I cried putting it on. "Happy birthday." He told me as I sat back down in my chair. "Now mine!" Tito smiled throwing a bag in my lap. I giggled seeing it was in a black plastic bag. "Wow Tito. I love the presentation of it all." I laughed as he sucked his teeth. "I can still take it back." Everyone laughed as I pulled out the little plastic bag. "How did you know I wanted these!" I smiled looking at my new black gauges. "Tez." Was all he said making me smile at both of them.
After the party was over everyone went home. I never got anything from Oscar but that's okay. The party was enough for me. As I walked into the house I seen a big ass bag and a box wrapped up on the table. "Happy birthday." Oscar whispered wrapping his arms around me from behind. I smiled kissing his shoulder and walking over to the box and bag. "Box first please." He spoke as he watched from the other side of the couch. I opened the box and there sat a pair of Converse. "You got me a new pair! Thank you I needed new shoes. These have holes in the bottoms." I smiled looking at him. I moved to the bag and pulled out a few shirts. "ROB ZOMBIE MOVIE SHIRTS!" I screamed excited doing a little dance. I pulled out the gauging kit and did another dance. Then a few pair of cargo pants and some shirts. Then some jelly bands, hoops, and oil for my ears. "Baby thank you so much!" I stood up jumping into his lap hugging him tightly. "I remembered how you said you liked the oldies Chola look, now you can try it out."
