A Gig?

Kaminari had never been the quiet type. Anyone who knew him for more than five minutes would know. Of course, now wasn't any exception.

He was prancing around behind the counter of the cafe he worked at, not-so-quietly talking to himself as he made yet another cappuccino for a customer. He ceased his rambling abruptly, holding his breath as he poured the frothy, warmed milk into the drink, slowly creating a swirl pattern on the top. Pleased with his work, he turned to the customer waiting for their drink with one of his signature bright, cheery smiles. The person thanked him and left him a tip, leaving Kaminari a little proud of himself. He was always happy to get the extra tips.

With the cafe now empty, with the exception of his coworker, Denki started rambling again, this time talking about trying different foam designs for the coffees, possibly trying a cat or something next, instead of the boring old swirls. Denki was so lost in his out-loud thoughts that he hadn't even noticed his friend, Kirishima, silently walk up beside him behind the counter and place a hand on his shoulder. Kaminari was pulled from his thoughts, squealing and immediately turning to his redheaded coworker, who was doubled over with laughter. Denki pouted.

Once Kirishima recovered, he glanced back over at his shorter friend. "Oh, don't look at me like that, Denks!" he teased, which earned him a shock of electricity to his arm from Kaminari, making him jolt. "Ow!" The blond just chuckled.

"You done?" a gruff voice from the entrance spoke up, causing the two to look over. Kirishima's face immediately lit up.

"Bakugou!" he cried, jumping over the counter and running over to him. He hugged him tightly. Bakugou looked like he was going to protest, but stayed silent, keeping his hands to his sides as Kirishima continued to hug him for a bit too long.

After almost a minute of hugging, Katsuki finally pushed him away. "Okay, that's enough, Shitty Hair!" Kirishima pulled away but didn't seem even slightly fazed by the insulting nickname. Bakugou wasn't as bad as he used to be in high school. He didn't get quite as angry as he used to. Sure, his short temper was still an issue, but he was getting better. Though he'd never admit it, Denki was kinda proud of him.

Of course, Katsuki acted his best around Kirishima. It was no secret that the blond had some sort of feelings for him. Well, it was pretty obvious to everyone but Kiri. Whether that was a good thing or a bad thing, Denki didn't know. It wouldn't stop him from teasing them about it, though.

"Ei, why don't you see if your boyfriend wants something to drink." He winked on the word "boyfriend" and saw Kirishima visibly blush.

"It's not-- he doesn't--" he started sputtering before an annoyed-looking Bakugou approached the other blond behind the counter. Denki gulped. Just because he was getting better didn't make him any less terrifying.

"Yeah, Dunce Face. I'll have a caramel macchiato with coconut milk," he spat. Though Kaminari so badly wanted to tease him about his order, it didn't seem like he should if he wanted to live. So instead, he gave Bakugou a nervous smile.

"That'll be $4.45," he said, trying to keep his voice steady. Bakugou glared at him. "I-I mean, haha! I'm just kidding, of course, I'm kidding! It's on the house!" Bakugou's expression softened a bit, but it wasn't any less intimidating.

Denki quickly got to work, and once the drink was made, he handed it to the taller man. Bakugou took one look at the drink, one look at Denki, and walked away. Denki let out a sigh of relief. For a moment he thought he was going to get a face full of boiling hot coffee!

Kirishima didn't seem to even notice the exchange between the two blonds. He had just sat down on one of the many sofas in the cafe, looking at his phone and hoping to draw the attention away from himself as his blush calmed down. But all his progress went to waste when Bakugou sat down right next to him with his drink, his leg brushing up against his friend's. Denki laughed to himself at how obvious the two were. He decided to sit on the couch opposite them since there was no one else in the cafe at this point. There were never many customers at this time, anyway.

After a few moments of comfortable silence between the three, Kirishima looked up from his phone, turning to Bakugou. "You have a gig tonight?" he asked. Bakugou just rolled his eyes.

"Tch. Yeah. At that bar downtown. What the hell was that place called again?" he asked, clearly not excited about it.

"Midnight's, I think," Eijrou answered. Kaminari just looked at them, clearly confused.

"A gig? Is Bakugou in a band or something?" he asked excitedly, interest piqued.

Kirishima just looked at him. "Wait, you didn't know? I swear I told you." He put a finger to his chin, thinking. "But maybe that was Sero." Kaminari wasn't listening to the second part though. He snapped his attention to Bakugou.

"You're in a band? That's so cool! Can I come to your gig? What kind of music do you play? What do you even play? Guitar? Oh! Do you sing? I've never heard you sing before..." Kaminari continued rambling on and on, making Bakugou irritated. This is why he didn't tell him in the first place.

Kirishima could see Bakugou growing annoyed. Quickly, he shut the loud blond up. "You can totally come, Kami!" he exclaimed. Katsuki turned his glare to him.

"No, he can't," he growled. Kaminari frowned, but jumped up from his seat on the couch and got on his knees in front of Bakugou, putting his hands up like he was praying.

"Oh, please? I won't ask any more questions. I won't even talk to you there! I just wanna see!" Bakugou opened his mouth to protest but was cut off by the blond at his feet. "Pleeaaassseee?" he begged again. Bakugou huffed, growing silent for a second before giving a defeated sigh.

"Fine, Dunce Face can come."
