"Todoroki?" Was it really him? Almost forgetting about Kaminari, Shinsou got up from the table, nearing Shouto's table as his mind was slightly spinning.
Todoroki finally looked up from his meal, noticing Shinsou, who was now at his table. To the untrained eye, his face wouldn't look much different, just his usual cold, bland expression. But Shinsou could see the shock in his eyes. Before either of them could say anything, Denki was right beside Hitoshi, already talking.
"Thanks for paying for our food, dude!" Then he finally noticed the other person sitting at the table. "Midoriya? Hey! It's been a while." The green-haired man sitting across from Todoroki smiled.
"Hi, Denki! I'm sorry we kinda lost touch..."
"It's okay, don't sweat it, man!" Midoriya looked relieved. Todoroki decided to speak up.
"You two know each other?" he asked, glancing at both of them. Denki grinned.
"Yep!" he said as Midoriya nodded. "We went to high school together!" His face then lit up. "Oh, my gosh, are you still with Uraraka? Or did Tsu finally confess to her? Oh, crap! I wasn't supposed to say anything about that! Though, it has been years--" Denki's rambling was cut off by the green-haired man's giggling.
"No, we broke up freshman year of college. And Tsu liked her? I don't know how I didn't see that! Though her secret is safe with me." He used an invisible key to lock his lips. Denki laughed.
Shinsou and Todoroki stood there in awkward silence as the old friends caught up. Shinsou wanted to say something, but he didn't know what. It had been a while since everything with Todoroki... And things kinda left off on a bad note. He didn't know where to start.
After a minute, though, Midoriya turned to Shinsou. "Wait, how do you know Shouto?" Shinsou locked eyes with Todoroki briefly.
"I, uh... It's a long story." He didn't really want to reveal the truth right now, especially if Todoroki hadn't told Midoriya about it yet. But it seemed he had no problem telling the green-haired man himself.
"We used to be in a band together," he answered, looking at Midoriya, whose eyes immediately lit up.
"You were? That's so cool! What did you play, Sho?" Shinsou snickered silently at the nickname. Shouto never let many people call him by his first name, much less a nickname. He and Midoriya must've been very close.
Todoroki smiled a bit, the corners of his lips turning up ever so slightly. "I played the keyboard."
"He was in the band?" Denki nearly screeched, drawing the attention of a few people sitting nearby, who he sheepishly waved to before turning back to Shinsou. "You never told me there were more than just the three of you!"
"So, the band is still together? Please tell me you at least made Bakugou change the band name." Shinsou cracked a small smile at that.
"Kind of. We couldn't get him to let go of 'explosion' for the name, but I think that 'Explosion Heroes' is better than 'Explosion Murder'." Todoroki nodded in agreement, slightly chuckling.
"I'm surprised you even got him to change it that much," Todoroki said. Denki pulled on Shinosu's sleeve to get his attention again, something that was so cute Shinsou might have had a heart attack if he weren't in public and talking to his other friends at the moment.
"I thought Jirou played the keyboard, though. And bass," he said thoughtfully.
"When Todoroki left the band, she had to take up playing the keyboard too since we were missing an extra person. Then, she and I both shared the bass and guitar so we could have both keyboard and bass if we wanted." Denki nodded.
