"Jirou!" Shinsou yelped as she snatched his phone from his hands. He tried to grab it, but she scurried away, hiding behind Bakugou as she looked at the screen.
"What are you doing on here? You haven't even..." Jirou trailed off as she read the conversation displayed on his device, I mischievous grin pulling at her lips. "So, Kaminari finally texted you, huh?" Shinsou attempted to step back behind Bakugou to pull his phone away from Kyoka, but the blond just glared at him, making it obvious he wasn't letting him pass.
"Yes, he did, now--" Hitoshi stopped mid-sentence as he watched Jirou start to write something into his phone. "What are you doing?" he asked, slightly panicking.
"Helping," Jirou stated as she turned away from Shinsou's hand reaching out for her. "You'll thank me later," she said and went back to typing.
"I'm sure I won't! What are you saying?" Shinsou asked, frantically trying to find a way around Bakugou. Eventually, he let the purple-haired man pass, and Shinsou practically tackled Jirou. After some struggling, Shinsou managed to pry the device from her hands. Then he read what she said.
"A date?" he nearly screeched. "You asked him on a date?"
"I'm sure he'll say yes," Jirou shrugged as Shinsou furiously sent an explanation to Denki before putting his phone in his pocket so she couldn't take it back. There was no way he would have said yes.
"You could've ruined things with him for me!" he argued, huffing.
"He tried to flirt with me and that didn't ruin anything," Kyoka argued back, arms crossed.
In the midst of all of their bickering, Bakugou pulled the phone back out of Shinsou's pocket, who hadn't heard it ding because he was almost yelling. Looking over the conversation, Bakugou read Denki's last message, scoffing at Shinsou's stupidity before replying for him.
By the time Shinsou had noticed his phone was missing, it was too late, and Bakugou was handing it back to him. Shinsou quickly grabbed, his eyes darting across the screen as he read what the blond wrote. "Before you go, I was wondering if I could come back to the cafe tomorrow? When is your shift there?" it said. Then, he looked at Denki's message, seeing he had happily told him the hours he'd be working. Then, Bakugou's reply...
"'Great. It's a date,'" he read aloud, groaning. "What is it with you people trying to get me a date?" Bakugou rolled his eyes.
"It's not an actual date. And you're welcome, dumbass. You obviously upset Dunce Face. He doesn't have shit to do right now." Shinsou just stared at his friend. He glanced over at Jirou, who looked just as dumbfounded.
"Is he... actually caring?" she asked, still shocked. Bakugou glared daggers at her.
"Don't get used to it, earlobes," he mumbled, turning away. "And eye-- Shinsou..." Wait, did Bakugou just use his actual name? Shinsou didn't even think he knew it. "Don't mess things up again. I'm not bailing you out like that next time." Despite his immense urge to sat something witty or sarcastic, Shinsou just nodded.
"Thanks, Katsuki."
"Tch. Whatever," Bakugou scoffed, though Shinsou didn't miss the teeny, tiny smile that graced his lips before being replaced with his usual scowl. After a moment of silence, Shinsou started getting his things together.
"I think I'm gonna dismiss class early today," he joked, slinging his guitar over his shoulder.
"This isn't a classroom, idiot," Bakugou growled. Is was kind of reassuring to see him back to normal, in a weird way.
