You're Gonna Wanna be My Best Friend, Baby

A/N: ATTENTION: I'm going on vacation this week (until the 7th), so I don't know when, if at all, I'll be able to post. I'll try to when I can, though. My birthday is the 5th, so maybe I'll try to post then! But until then, farewell!

Kaminari glanced at Sero. He looked serious.

"Yeah, okay," he said, nodding. If his friend wanted to talk to him about something, then he'd be all ears. It appeared pretty important, too. Sero was always the fun, laid back friend. If he was as serious as he looked, then something was most likely really wrong. That worried Denki even more, and the pit in his stomach was just continuously growing.

"You wanna go first?" Hanta asked as he prepared his drink. Sighing, Denki nodded.

"I guess. If that's okay," Kaminari agreed, looking down at his feet. His mood had done a complete turnaround, and he was starting to feel worse than this morning.

Sero let out a light chuckled. "Yeah, dude, it's okay."

"Well..." Denki hesitated for a moment. "I wanted to talk to you about Hito-- Shinsou." Sero's head shot up to look at him, his smile falling as he finished his coffee.

"That's actually what I wanted to talk about, too." That surprised Kaminari. What did he know about Shinsou? "Though, I'll still let you go first."

"Right." Denki finished cleaning the dish he was washing before joining his friend over at the counter. "He's just been acting really weird."

"Weird how?" Sero asked, dead serious. He placed down his drink and clasped his hands together in front of him. Kaminari would admit, this was a side of his friend he'd rarely-- if ever-- seen.

"I don't know, like..." He trailed off, placing a finger on his chin in thought. "He's acting really suspicious. And he's been lying to me." Sero looked a little surprised at that.

"How do you--?" he started, but Denki already knew what he was going to ask.

"He has tells. I just know when he's lying. He isn't exactly good at it." He managed to crack half a smile before it disappeared. "But he bailed on our date yesterday. Made up some sort of excuse about his dads' cat and then drove off in the other direction." Kaminari waved his hands around as he talked. Sero shook his head.

"Sounds like he's hiding something." It did. Kaminari knew he just had to be.

"But what? What would be so important that he has to lie to me, and dip on that date?" Denki asked, growing agitated. "Why can't he just talk to me?" Sero put a hand on his shoulder and pulled his friend into a hug.

"I don't know, Denks. But you'll figure it out--" He cut himself off and Kaminari pulled away. His friend looked deep in thought before gasping. "So that's what-- Denki, I think I might know what's going on." The blond glanced up hopefully to his friend.

"You do?" he asked, nearly yelling. "What is it? What's wrong? Did I do something?" Sero looked away for a moment. He seriously knew? How? Did Shinsou talk to him and not Denki? His mind spun as his friend hesitated.

"Well... I think I know, but..." Sero trailed off. But what? Why couldn't he tell him? Denki's head nearly hurt with confusion.

"Sero, what's going on?" Kaminari questioned, nearly frantic. He needed to know. His friend never acted like this. Something was definitely not right.

"I just-- you really aren't going to like this, Denki." Oh, no. Something bad really was happening, wasn't it? He started jittering from the nerves. The pit in his stomach felt like it was going to swallow him whole. What was so terrible?
