"I should let mom know that I'm not going home now."
Josefine took her phone out and wrote a text message to her mother telling her she was now going over to a friend's.
"People here drive so fast." She pointed out after a couple of cars drove by and her hair flew around her face blown by the wind the cars had sent her way. "Never getting a license..."
"Don't worry your cute little head Jo, when we get cars you can always get a ride with us." Bill checked his phone as Josefine translated the words in her head and looked forward. Tom walked next to his brother on the side farthest to the street. "Georg and Gustav are coming over to practice", Bill announced.
"Practice?" Josefine raised an eyebrow.
"We are a band." Tom said, unveiling the secret.
It felt weird saying the words, it had been a while ago that he had said that and people took no interest in that statement at all. The excitement they were followed with made both brothers smile widely.
"Oh, that's why you gave no shits for the exam?!" She asked Tom, who answered with a slight blush. "How good are you?" Bill looked over his shoulder at Tom and then gave his friend a side smile and a wink, she then chuckled. "Are you famous then? I'm surprised but I won't google you. Ever."
"Well, that is awesome." Tom said. "And no, we're not famous."
"Yet." Bill was optimistic. "I gotta tell you, I'm surprised too! Tom here hasn't pulled a move on you in a week!"
Tom's hand connected slightly hard with the back of Bill's head.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Josefine looked at the house they had stopped by.
"Tom is a womanizer" Bill said casually as an annoyed Tom got the door of the black gate open. "He might actually want to keep you around."
Bill walked side to side with his friend as his brother crossed the large front yard and approached the house with big windows that allowed a good view of the garden. The three were greeted by the twins' mother.
"A new face, finally!" The woman said as she let the young girl into the living room. "From Spain, right?"
Josefine told her about her own family while the boys walked to their room and changed from their uniform into their usual clothes. Simone, the twins' mother, told her a little bit about the small town she was now living in, how she would be glad to help her whenever she needed too and then Josefine was told to bear with the boys, "You're welcome in our home any time."
"Thanks!"
Josefine then walked up to the large room the twins shared and knocked on the door, seeing as it was closed. Tom opened it and let the girl in, although the pair were wearing the same hairstyles they were wearing that morning, now they wore their own clothes with the differences getting incredibly obvious.
Tom, who had just stepped aside for her to walk in, was wearing the baggiest clothes while bill had clothes his size and checked the sound of his microphone. While the boys checked their instruments, the other half of the band arrived and greeted the three of them. Georg – Josefine thought – seemed too friendly to be true. Although it could be his laid back attitude, something she had never really been face to face before.
