Maybe it was alright to have the big distance between us, Tom had said things he'd never said before and I knew by his voice that it was hard for him. The past weeks were weird in that way; we kept texting so much and he sent me all these pictures showing me what they were doing, it turned into something even funny, like a game.
The rest of the boys called as much as they could, it was Georg the one who never forgot to text me every night, alright, not exactly but almost.
I had a fun time in LA once I made some friends at the salon apart from Allison and even when I rejected doing the photo shoot for that fashion magazine, they invited me to write a little article about eyebrows, basically, I wrote "do's" and "don't's" when filling and plucking brows; getting a virtual pat in the back from the editor, who later mailed me asking me to write another article about the latest trend in lip gloss...so I was now writing for them every month, getting myself a small space in their magazine and some really easy money. I had to thank Matt, he didn't talk me down once I broke up with him, instead he gave me a little boost and now I was getting lucky because of him, if only he was Tom, things would have been so much easier...
By the time the guys came back to the US, it was time for them to play a show in Florida, which unfortunately was hours away from home, on Tom's invitation of course, because he was the most eager to see me, I made the trip along with Bora.
She was my small black and white French bulldog puppy, my small little girl. Because of my -almost- gone asthma I had never had a puppy before, although mom loved dogs and now she even had a freaking Great Dane the size of a small horse as a pet. I always envied the boys for having pets, just now I took the big step: from a plant to a living creature with feelings and fur."That's a hell of a cute puppy!" Allison said as she kissed the top of Bora's head while she snuggled against her, she was so easy going and had this ability to be cool around strangers...
I just knew she wouldn't be a guardian dog even if she had the size for it.
"The tickets are front row, we should be there early." I said to my friend.
We were staying at a hotel and were now chilling in our room. She was playing with Bora on her big bed while I took out my outfit for tonight. A black sleeveless shirt with a pair of ripped grey jeans and black high-heeled shoes, not too high, because I really just wanted to look girly not fall and break my ankle...
"Are you serious?" Allison looked up at me.
"About what?" I looked around confused.
"You're getting a shower now?" I had my things ready for the shower on top of my bed, I nodded.
"You are so getting laid tonight; don't even deny it, you have the expensive body wash in there."
I couldn't say anything but I only had the expensive body wash because it was good on my sensitive skin and I always used it...
"Now, it's early so you better get your tan back on, because you came back from New York pale as a freaking ghost and you are missing that LA glow."
She got up and went to her suitcase.
I grabbed my little Bora and carried her as I went up to the large window to see the view. It was, indeed still very early and sunny. Our hotel had a big round pool and I only felt for my little Bora, she didn't exactly like water and I didn't think she would like to sit and tan along with us.
