Reaching, arms stretched out, hands grasping for her. For him. Her family was there in front of her. Running in slow motion, going absolutely no where. The shots, again, rung clear through the night. This time, Jade wasn't afraid. She was angry. Spinning to face her family's murderer, she flung her hand out in front of her. A screech released from her throat as she choked him using the force, tossing him against a building, and watching his limp body hit the ground. She growled, panting, closing her eyes tightly just before-

A knock. What?

Jade's green eyes slowly opened as she realized her surroundings. She sprung up from... a bed? Where was she?

Another knock. The sound rattling in her head.

Now standing, looking around at her surroundings, she took in that she must be in some type of cell. She had a bed, a sink, a nightstand with an alarm clock on top, and a chair. Everything was grey. The light above flickered a bit, illuminating the room a little too much. As if her headache wasn't bad enough.

She made her way to the door, opening it slowly and peering around the corner before seeing a stormtrooper holding a tray of food. She held the door open a little more. "H-Hello. Where am-"

"Commander Ren requests you to be outside of your cell in 15 minutes. He will take you to the training room. Don't leave him waiting."

With that, he handed her the tray of food before nodding at her and disappearing down the hallway. Confused, Jade looked down at the food, processing the information just given. "Thank you!" She called out to him, sure that he probably didn't hear her anyway.

As she walked back in, she closed the door behind her, taking in the food that was on the plate. Interesting. Nothing like the food she ate back at home. This was all so grey, so bland looking. She sat at the edge of her bed and took her first bite. Just as she thought, bland as hell. Nonetheless, it was food and she was hungry.

As she ate she peered up at the clock. 10:05. In the morning?! That's how long she had been asleep for? What happened to her?

As she ate her mush, her mind raced back to the scene from the night before. Her hand reached up, as she thought about it, and touched the moon dangled around her neck. In that instant, she could feel warmth. Sunshine. Love. It made her smile, it was like a hug from her mom. She closed her eyes and she could see her, arms stretched out in front of her ready to give her a hug.

Suddenly, the door swung open, forcing Jade to crack open her eyes and leave her sweet daydream. She looked at the clock.

10:15. Shit.

"15 minutes. You were given 15 minutes to eat and be ready outside your cell. Following orders is a must. Do you understand?" Kylo Ren's voice barked roughly through the mask.

Jade slowly stood up, the tray left on her bed now, hands up in the air in defense. "Yes, I apologize."

Kylo Ren huffed as he turned around. "Follow me. We have much to discuss," he said as he began to walk out the door. Jade bit the inside of her lip and followed him, not asking questions. This is not the person she wanted to piss off.

Walking for what seemed like an eternity, they finally made it to the training room. Kylo punched in a code on a keypad, causing the doors to slide apart. Inside, a large room was revealed to Jade as she stepped in. Intimidating weapons hung from the walls, padding covered the floor, mirrors hung on one side of the room, and wall to floor windows framed the entirety of the wall opposite of her. It was strangely beautiful.

The doors closed behind them and Jade stood there awkwardly, hands clasped in front of her. "Go ahead. Ask your questions." Kylo spoke, facing the windows that looked out into nothing. The only thing that could be seen was snow softly falling.

"Q-Questions, sir?" Jade's voice sounded mousey, nervous to even be there. She had so many questions. So many. Although, would she dare ask them if Kylo Ren would get mad?

Kylo turned around to face her. His hands dangled at his sides, not in fists just lose. I guess he isn't mad anymore. "I know you have many. I sense confusion in you. Go on." He motioned for her to speak up.

Jade felt defeated suddenly, emotional. All she wanted to do was see her mom. Hold her brother in a hug. These sudden emotions started blinding her. "Well, yes I am confused. I'm also mad. Upset. My family is gone. You killed them."

"I didn't kill anyone."

Jade scoffed and rolled her eyes, not even realizing how she was acting towards him, before continuing. "I watched them die in front of me without being able to do anything. Now I'm here? How? Why did you come to my village and destroy it? Why did you take me? Why am I not in handcuffs? Why am I doing the interrogating? What am I doing here?" Her mind finally quieted down. Her breath finally coming back into her lungs. She didn't dare look at him during this rant so once she was done, her eyes slowly crept up to meet the mask in front of her. "Last one... Can you take that mask off? It's terrifying."

Kylo Ren took a few steps closer, one more step and their bodies would be touching. His gaze was on her. He studied her for a few moments before he spoke again. "You have a very special power, something I have never felt before in the force. You're here to train. To learn how to control it. To strengthen your powers. To fight. You aren't here to waste your time being my prisoner." He turned back around, facing the windows once again. He walked right up to them, his stance widened and his hands behind his back. "Your village was an after-thought. Your people are not allegiant to the First Order. They fought against us, so they had to die at the hands of my troopers." He turned to face her. "I was only there to get you."

Jade felt a lump in her throat. The statement made her feel strange. Then, it hit her. This was all because of her. He only bothered to go to her home because of her and her powers. "It's all my fault." She felt like she could pass out. Her village could have been spared if she didn't have these stupid powers to begin with. "It's MY fault my people died. My mom. My brother. It's my fault. I might as well have killed them myself!" Jade spoke wildly, tears now brimming her beautiful eyes. Her hands raked through her hair as she held her head, feeling another headache starting.

Kylo Ren strode up closer to her, gripping his tight leather gloves around her small wrists, ripping them away from her head. Jade's eyes flung up at him as his hands held onto her. "Don't forget this feeling. These emotions," he said as he held her there for a second before tossing her hands down. "But don't let them control you." His tall frame hovered over her before he took a step back. Jade's heart raced unusually fast. She stood there slightly panting, her heart rate slowing as she calmed down. He was calming her? How could a man who was so terrifying be so calming as well? "Tomorrow morning at 8 AM. Be ready for me. Outside your room, this time." Jade nodded her head at his command. He began to walk out the room before stopping, looking to the side a bit. "And, no. I will not take my helmet off... Yet." With that, he was gone.
