The two stood side by side in the elevator, silence lingering between them. Jade was clinging onto the cloak, holding it tightly against her body. The encounter with Hux was enough to shake her up fully. Not only did she not feel safe with her own mind, she didn't feel safe around anyone. Anyone but Kylo.
As the doors opened, Kylo walked ahead towards his quarters. She tried to imagine what it would look like as they walked. Probably similar to hers, she assumed. Dark, black, hints of red everywhere.
He stopped in front of the door diagonal to the courtyard. His hand hovered over the scanner, reconsidering this whole thing before going ahead with it anyway. If Snoke were to find out, he'd deal with the consequences when the time comes.
In awe, Jade stepped in after Kylo and looked around. Floor to ceiling windows covered by dark curtains, books on bookshelves that lined the walls, a bathroom the size of her quarters. It was all so beautiful. There was even a set of stairs; what they led to, she couldn't see.
She moved towards them, hand twitching as she touched the railing just before he grabbed her wrist. "Do not go up there. It's off limits." His voice was stern and cautionary, but it didn't scare Jade. She simply nodded and took her hand off the railing.
"You will sleep in my bed. I'll set myself up on the floor," he remarked, tossing his robe off to reveal his black undershirt. Though simple, the action startled her a bit.
Her head poked in through the door of the bathroom, taking in the sterile white fixtures. Softly, her fingers trailed over the countertop before staring up at herself in the mirror. She frowned slightly at the dark circles under her eyes. Gods, I need sleep.
Feeling the exhaustion wave over her, she let out a soft yawn before coming back to the bedroom. Kylo had taken a pillow and blanket, setting up a spot for him to sleep. She felt bad, feeling like she should be the one on the floor since this is his room, but she didn't say anything.
Her robe dropped off of her shoulders, Jade taking it to the closet to hang it up. She was left in her thin nightgown, revealing much more than she was used to. The cool air that rushed over her skin pricked it with bumps, still not used to the planets climate. She could feel Kylo's eyes on her, but she didn't stop what she was doing.
Kylo admired her frame but after scanning her, his eyes stopped at her neck and collarbone. Bite marks and bruises littered her skin. It made his blood boil knowing those marks were from Hux. He stepped over to her, standing silently in front of her for a moment or two, before reaching his hand out to brush the marks with his fingers. "He'll pay for what he did to you."
Butterflies fluttered in her stomach as his hands were grazing against her neck and chest. "I was weak..." Her small voice squeaked out, feeling guilt in the pit of her stomach. She could have done something, anything, to get him off of her. "I let fear take over. I should have done something."
His head shook, still touching the black and blue circles around her chest. "He was wrong. You are not to blame for a stupid man's blind arousal. He made a huge mistake and he will face consequences." As if he was formulating a plan in his head right there, his face went blank.
She reached up, taking his hand in hers. His eyes watched her as she moved it to her hips. "Let's forget about it for now," she said, resting her hand on his shoulder. A sigh fell out of his mouth before dipping his head down, his forehead meeting hers.
"What have you done to me?" His voice sent a shiver across her whole body. The tug at her chest felt so strong, it was almost instant from the moment they met. Her hand traced to his heart, feeling it beat rapidly against her palm. "Did you feel it from the start too?"
